We operated our own content delivery network using our transcoder-origin-edge servers spread across 5 key global locations.  We were having issues in Asia and Australia with peering issues and unreliable service.  We had issues in Europe delivering live Northern Lights streaming due to unplanned demand peaks. Our goal was to integrate Amazon CloudFront as CDN of choice for our current platform and review the following 6 month period.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We needed to demonstrate that the integration of Amazon CloudFront would improve or eliminate the current issues we had with both demand peaks and reliability.  We would review feedback from our viewers and evaluate the technucal statistics being gathered from locations with previos known issues.  This review would be done towards the end of 2025 looking back at 6 months of using the new service.

The team were helpful from the outset.  Flexible approach and provided technical solutions to some outstanding loose ends. They've delivered what they said they would, and the technical solution has eliminated the original issues we were struggling to resolve.

Responsive, genuine desire to help and their technical knowledge of AWS CloudFront was impressive.

From our project point of view Stormit delivered for our project and I have absolutely no complaints. They made AWS accessible to smaller operators and without that ability we would still be struggling.

I’m the founder and CEO of Ookulli, a company that provides B2C solutions for contract reviews. Our goal is to ensure that customers fully understand what they sign and that it aligns with local laws.

What challenge were you trying to address with Stormit?

We needed help simplifying our use of AWS, which is our main infrastructure provider.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Stormit provides managed services for us. AWS is an infrastructure solution, and if we need more security on our servers or more servers, they can help us make that happen. They provide support and guidance while using AWS. We face challenges through them, and they help us use AWS services better.

The team also helps us get free credits from AWS. They’ve conducted an AWS well-architected review, which tells our customers that we do everything by the book and that everything is secure and backed up. They help us make our infrastructure as good as possible.

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–3 people. Our initial contact was with Igor, their head of sales and marketing, who is more like a sales guy. Another person did the actual review and support. We also worked with the CTO when we had a billing problem.

How did you come to work with Stormit?

I met them at a conference. And we hired them because they are simplifying the way they are using AWS, which is our main infrastructure provider. So they can help us manage that side of things.

How much have you invested with them?

I'm paying the same bill as I would pay directly to AWS, but I'm paying it through them, and then we get some extra services, support guidance, reviews, and so on. We’ve spent around $500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in May 2025, and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team has helped us with some legal questions around GDPR and migrated some of our workflows from an outside service into AWS. The review went well, and we didn’t need to make any changes.

Usually, when they were doing the review, they were mostly exchanging comments on Friday and Google Docs, and those responses came in a few hours. 

We also had a small issue with billing when our startup credits weren't taken into account. After we exchanged emails about it, they took care of it at no extra cost to us and were ready to jump on a call. 

We just changed a few emails and had a quick call, but by the time the call came, they had fixed everything with the administration, and we just had a little chat, during which they explained the situation.

How did Stormit perform from a project management standpoint?

They met our expectations, and there were no surprises. We communicate with them over Google Meet and email. 

They’re always very reactive. When we have a problem or need more information, we email them, and they respond within a few hours. 

They’ve worked effectively to resolve issues. If they couldn't work it out in the lower level or in the call, they actually pulled in the CTO, who had all the excesses available, just so that we could check that everything is properly administered; they did that quite effectively.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their quick reaction time is impressive. The people we’re in contact with are usually quite in contact with our business and what we’re doing. They’re usually fully in context of what’s happening.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing they need to improve.

Be clear upfront about what you expect, what you want, and what your needs are, and they will figure it out.

TargetVideo's Core Technology and Infrastructure

TargetVideo’s primary in-house products include a comprehensive video platform and video player designed for streaming, live broadcasting, OTT distribution, and monetization. Central to this ecosystem is our proprietary Video Ad Server, built in-house to support pre-bidding and efficient ad delivery.

Our infrastructure is 99% powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). We leverage a wide array of AWS tools and services—from delivering user-generated content (UGC) via CloudFront, to data storage using S3, Redshift, RDS, and DynamoDB. For media processing, we utilize AWS Elemental services for both video encoding and live streaming.

To ensure global reach and performance, we operate distributed clusters for our Ad Server and employ auto-scaling configurations optimized to handle sudden traffic spikes seamlessly.

Our video production team is working on enriching our multilanguage Video Library that is available for all our premium customers.
