• Successful working and fully deployed product (MVP) at the restaurant site. It is completely working in auto-operational mode (bug & crash free).

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Head of SISO India. The company is a subsidiary of SISO Ltd. Switzerland. We provide web-based Project Management Solutions to construction and infrastructure projects.

For what projects/services did your company hire Squareboat, and what were your goals?

The existing SISO software did not have very efficient UI & UX as per the need of Indian market. We hired Squareboat to design and develop a new intuitive UI & UX.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We observed their performance through their website. We also consulted the appropriate reference for which Squareboat has provided the solutions.

The scope of work was to coduct primary research for UI/UX, Product Design, Prototyping, and Frontend Engineering. The Squareboat team visited the actual construction sites and interviewed the stakeholders for primary research. The used Balsamiq for wireframing, Adobe XD for UI/UX designing, and React.js for frontend engineering.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcome of the engagement with Squareboat was a marginally better user experience on the SISO platform, which in turn has helped in onboarding better clients and retaining the existing ones.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We initially experienced some friction due to multiple parties being involved at each stage. There was one team at SISO India office New Delhi, then there was another team based in Switzerland. Therefore seamless communication was a challenge, but eventually we all figured it out and were able to create an amazing product.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team members who worked with us were very talented and supportive. The most unique thing about Squareboat was certainly the team behaviour and empathetic attitude. It was a good experience with them during the site visit to Rishikesh for R&D & interaction with users.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our software is a niche technology for construction and infrastructure segment. Squareboat had a great understanding of general software industry but knowledge of our industry could have been better, if they strengthen the team suitably.
