Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of a local charity based in Southeast London. We focus on community development, volunteering, supporting local organizations, and encouraging the wider community to help their local area and support local good causes too.

What challenge were you trying to address with Splendid Webs?

We had a previous WordPress web developer who had to close his business, so we had to look for another company to help us. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Splendid Webs implements changes such as on our site, plugins, security, and more. On the web design aspect, we give them themes but they suggest changes flexibly since we’re not too descriptive. So far, they’ve performed development work on our site, created a new directory and page design plugins.

We work with three people from their team.

We met Splendid Webs at a networking event. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent £5,000 (approximately $6,900 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Splendid Webs in December 2018, and we continue to work with them. They work on a project basis.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our traffic has increased from 20,000 users per year to 150,000. We’re lucky to be working with Splendid Webs. They’ve been able to do all the necessary things we’ve required of them such as cleaning up plugins and making sure the site runs well. 

How did Splendid Webs perform from a project management standpoint?

They use Asana as a project management tool, and we typically log our requests there. Overall, Splendid Webs has been transparent, accountable, and timely. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We found a business that cares about what we do. Our partnership isn’t all about what we’ve paid them to do. Instead, they’ve become an advisor for us. 

Splendid Webs is always there for us, and they care about us, and vice versa. They’re also local, and that aligns with our mission of keeping our local area thriving. We love that they’re scaling up and hiring more employees, and we're looking forward to the team’s continuing purpose of making a difference to local groups or businesses.
