Spaceboat worked with me to develop an accessible website that could help me engage with customers. With a quick turnaround for my business launch, Stephen was professional and open to fast changes through the process. The key deliverables were a clean and clear explanation of my business, Spark Access, with a section to tell stories and learning through a blog format, and a way for customers to reach out to me for services.

I needed a draft website by early October, which was delivered, and a full launch date for a conference I was attending, which was also met.

Spaceboat was very responsive over email, text, and open to meeting with short notice as revisions were made. All items were delivered on time.

Spaceboat's philosophy of making web development easy and intuitive, to get started, but ultimately help put the keys in my hand for my business. The light and kind hearted nature of Steve from Spaceboat was also relaxing and easy to work with.

I was incredibly happy with Spaceboat's services.

I’m the former director of operations of an energy technology nonprofit.

What challenge were you trying to address with Spaceboat?

We needed someone to provide us with technical management for the platforms we had developed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spaceboat’s main focus is providing managed IT solutions, namely around app administration, server administration, general backend work, and database management. They also provide some development work for features that are requested.

Additionally, they’re also utilizing AWS for the organization’s ecosystem.

What is the team composition?

I mainly interfaced with Stephen (Founder & Lead Developer) when I was still working there.

How did you come to work with Spaceboat?

I’ve known Stephen for a while as we’ve worked together on several projects in the past.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in September 2019, and I believe it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

With a program involving a lot of government contracts, I’ve never experienced any kind of service interruption or major issues that came up in the time frame — the quality was great as they really tightened up our processes to make sure everything ran smoothly.

How did Spaceboat perform from a project management standpoint?

We had an open communication style and they were very responsive throughout. I had weekly meetings with them and they would manage and track everything they were working on through a project management tool.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I liked about working with them was their ability to diversify the scale of their services, specifically for in-house technology projects.

It was difficult for me to find providers that could work in this space, but I had a great experience with their cost-effective approach.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they need to improve on because I was 100% satisfied with the partnership.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don’t have any specific advice, just that I wish more people would have the opportunity to talk to them in the future.

Quite simply, I gave Steven the idea, we discussed it's feasibility and finalized the details. The work was build the app in Apple first then duplicate it for Android. Steve built the app, and we successfully tested it with him at a Detroit Tigers game.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Getting the app into TestFlight was a huge step, getting Approved for distribution by Apple was the cherry on top. We proved the theory and Apple now has ageed with us. That is success.

Everything went as expected. The fact that Steve and his wife and daughter came with us to test CrowdPin at the Tigers Game with me completely exceeded my expectations.
