Sourcetoad has been our digital partner for over a decade. They’ve built and maintained the full platform that powers our science curriculum, from classroom tools and student progress tracking to standards alignment and assessment modules. The platform includes real-time data syncing, adaptive interfaces for different school systems, and continuous improvement of user experience and infrastructure. Their work spans initial architecture, ongoing development, DevOps, and continuous feature delivery.

Our entire business uses the digital platform they’ve built. Thousands of teachers and students use the system daily. We’ve consistently hit product deadlines, received positive feedback from schools, and been able to scale our reach thanks to their technical support.

Sourcetoad works in Agile sprints and provides consistent communication and accountability. Their team has always delivered on time, been quick to respond to support requests, and been flexible in handling the evolving needs of our sector (education).

Sourcetoad designed and built TDMSmobile from the ground up, a disaster monitoring and debris management platform that supports operations such as truck certification, ROW collection, PPDR, demolitions, haul-out, and disposal tracking. The platform operates fully offline in post-storm scenarios with no cellular service. Sourcetoad also developed custom C++ Bluetooth printer drivers to support rugged field hardware and continues to provide extensive infrastructure support, monitoring, and feature development today.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

TDMSmobile is used daily by field crews across the country. It’s resilient in storm-damaged regions, integrates tightly with our internal processes, and has enabled us to modernize and scale our disaster response operations significantly.

Sourcetoad is exceptionally responsive. They’ve built highly complex systems for us on time and to spec, and they proactively monitor everything. Their team engages in quarterly roadmapping with us and delivers predictably and consistently.

Sourcetoad worked with us to design, architect, and build a provider compensation analysis platform from scratch. The MVP included digitization of our FMV spreadsheets, user flows for automated and manual risk scoring, and support for white-glove assessments. Deliverables included a wireflow-tested design, secure AWS infrastructure, and a full-featured web application used actively by our team and clients.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The full MVP was delivered successfully and ahead of schedule. It is used in active client engagements today, and the project came in under budget.

The team followed Agile best practices with biweekly demos, clear communication, and a responsive PM. We came in under time and under budget, and any requested changes were addressed quickly and professionally.

Sourcetoad met our functionality deadlines. We established clear functionality requirements for supplier testing and usability. As a result, we streamlined administration and increased user engagement.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sourcetoad?

We needed help with AI training and adoption of AI in the organization. We also needed a third party review of portions of our code.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sourcetoad provided AI training for our company's division. They also did a code review with recommendations. The team created, implemented, and moderated the training. They also provided materials, including PowerPoint presentations and custom modules for our business.

A friend recommended them, and we trusted they could do the job.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October–December 2024 and again June–July 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My team was able to integrate AI, which improved editorial productivity on certain projects by as much as 20%. We also developed new product offerings, although they haven't been released yet.

Sourcetoad's project management was very good. They did what they said they would do. We communicated via email, phone, and online meetings.

Sourcetoad was very professional, intelligent, great communicators and delivered as expected.

Their overall management is why we hired them. If anything was behind over the past 24 months, they explained our options, worked hard to revise a plan, and never made excuses. We primarily communicate via Slack, daily emails, weekly meetings, and phone calls.
