BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder of Equi Glimvik and we have launched the app Equi for All for equestrians and equestrian professionals.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Software-House.eu, and what were your goals?

We worked together with Software house from April 2021 in order to develop the MVP of our App. The goal was to have a first version of the app that we could take to market and test the interest and needs of riders and trainers.

SOLUTION

How did you select Software-House.eu and what were the deciding factors?

After a few RFPs with other agencies we took the decision to develop the MVP on bubble.io Thanks to bubble.io´s website I got in contact with Software House. I had no previous experience in app development and felt secure with Software house and the communication we had.

It also helped that they had worked on projects that included live streaming, booking process and set up of calendar function.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had several calls where we explained the needs and we also put together a written requirements document. We had weekly calls to review the progress, shared documents to sign off on design.

Once we were ready for testing they used a platform where we posted cases and where we could easily follow up on their status. The app is built on bubble.io, we use Whereby for the streaming and Amazon Web Services to store videos. We are using Nativator as a "wrapping" solution.

How many resources from the Software-House.eu team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project lead who was also responsible for the design parts was assigned. We also communicated directly with the developer sometimes.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The MVP definitely has served it´s purpose. We have over 300 users now and there is a lot of interest. We knew this would take time to take off as it´s a new way of working here in Spain but we are very happy with the result and getting a lot of positive feedback.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We started working together in April 2021 and testing started in July and took a bit of time. We had weekly calls, and documentation was well updated in the beginning. As we got more used to working together this was somehow relaxed a bit and I would have wished for a weekly update on hours spent on bug fixing vs development during the testing period.

During testing we posted our cases on Jura and that worked very well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really appreciated how approachable they were and I felt I could trust them from our first call. This was extremely important for me being new in this business. Always friendly and willing to help. They did not always have the answer, but they would make sure they found the solution.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think it would have helped us all with documentation being updated weekly and this is also a feedback I have already given them directly. A handover document would have been excellent at the end of the project.
