I'm the IT Manager and Information Security Officer of a software developing company for the construction industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire SoCyber?

We were looking for an external cybersecurity company to perform penetration testing on our most valuable SaaS products.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed 3 cybersecurity companies and chose this vendor because of the overall performance - experience, service package, pricing etc.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

They performed black box penetration testing on 3 of our SaaS products. First we discussed the scope and timing, then the vendor did the testing and provided us with encrypted report with all findings and advice for fixing them.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As expected, they were able to find additional vulnerabilities than we did on our own. With each vulnerability we got recommendations according to the best practices. We also got some recommendations for internal tools we started using.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They kept me personally updated and asked when to step in with the next round as we were some requirements not to impact the productivity of our systems during working hours.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciate that they are always responsive and ready to step in with some advice or so.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None that I can think of.

On a regular basis, we are using SoCyber's services: Penetration test, Vulnerability test, Consultancy. During the years we had different projects, all of them succesfull.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We search online and did interviews with several companies. The deciding factors were expertise, experience, knowledge, and responsiveness.

Every project is different but usually, they perform a security audit using approved methodologies. After that are running some tests with different tools and manually also. They are using professional software only.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Usually, we have a Project manager, Cybersecurity expert, and Security tester. The roles and responsibilities are defined very well. Every team member has only the information that is needed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Every project we had was successful. They succeed to exploit websites that was okay on the scanner.

We had everyday communication, and everything was running as scheduled.

We appreciated that they are consulting the client on how to mitigate the vulnerabilities that are found.

I think everything is great!
