What challenge were you trying to address with Socialmeds Digital?

I needed help with my social media for an upcoming event.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Socialmeds helped me with content for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. We worked and controlled posting collaboratively, and we both handled client communication.  They were there during the event, responding to people, and pushing out content on Facebook Live and Instagram Live.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Sam (CEO) and an account manager, and there were other people involved in the background. The account manager was my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Socialmeds Digital?

They were recommended to me by my PR person. I also interviewed one other firm.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost was 70,000 shillings (approximately $640).

What is the status of this engagement?

I worked with Socialmeds between June–July 2017. It was a two-week project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project was three years ago, so I don’t remember all the specifics, but Socialmeds did everything they said they would.

How did Socialmeds Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They gave me a content calendar, which I could use to review their work. I was in constant communication with their account manager, and Sam was involved in the background. They met the deadlines and did what they said they would. We communicated through email, phone calls, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I enjoyed working with Sam and he was personable.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything they could improve.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

My advice is simply to work with them.

We needed help branching into the digital marketing space.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Socialmeds Digital helped us maximize the reach of our social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. They also helped us run a campaign. Their team collaborated with us to create the content. We provided the required materials to them, and they drafted some of the posts for our approval.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 2–3 people regularly, including an account manager and supervisor. There were others who stepped in at different times.

How did you come to work with Socialmeds Digital?

They were recommended to us, and we had seen them do a presentation. We felt confident in their abilities to help us make a footprint in the digital space.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested 5,000–10,000 Kenyan shillings (approximately $45–$90 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February 2019–April 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve become more proficient in the digital market space and are utilizing our social media assets more fully now. The team was patient in guiding us on how to prepare materials and understand the digital space better. We’re benefitting from working with them.

How did Socialmeds Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We had bi-weekly meetings and communicated via the phone, emails, and occasionally through face-to-face meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They pay personal attention to their customers and are readily available.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Humble yourself and learn from them. Involve your team in the project so they know what’s going on. Digital marketing is quite different from other types of marketing.
