Snowy Peak Films

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Cech Press. I was hired as a consultant to help a group of ad producers market their new water resources program through public information.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Snowy Peak Films?

Our main business challenge was public awareness. We needed Snowy Peak Films to create four videos explaining how our vegetable growers work to become more sustainable with their groundwater and resources.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had never done video production before, so Snowy Peak Films was involved in the entire process. They created four three-minute videos that included drone aerial shots, scenery shots, and close-up shots for our interviews.

They helped with storyboarding, scriptwriting, photography, and production. The team set up two shoots in Colorado. They filmed the content using their own equipment and set up the microphones and lighting during the shoots. For postproduction, they handled video editing, audio mixing, and also did some voiceover work.

What is the team composition?

We worked with five team members, including two drone operators and other production personnel.

How did you come to work with Snowy Peak Films?

I found Snowy Peak Films through a client’s political outreach group that has worked with them for years. I contacted them and two other service providers, who all submitted their bids. Snowy Peak’s bid was the most impressive, so we hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $20,000 on the partnership with Snowy Peak Films.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September–December 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Snowy Peak Films was extremely helpful and produced wonderful, professional videos. They had high-quality equipment and personnel. The videos include beautiful scenery shots and outstanding close-up shots.

We haven’t launched them publicly, but the response from our group’s board members has been extremely positive. Snowy Peak Films was a tremendous partner, and I’d hire them again in a heartbeat. They exceeded our expectations, and we’re very happy with their work.

How did Snowy Peak Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Snowy Peak Films involved me in the entire filmmaking process. They guided me through each step and answered all my questions. Furthermore, they were receptive to suggestions, which I appreciated. The team was very responsive via email, and we met via Zoom. They also used Vimeo to send drafts of each video.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed by Snowy Peak Films’ responsiveness, professionalism, and creativity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing Snowy Peak Films could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend hiring Snowy Peak Films.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the communications manager of image and brand for the City of Greeley, a government entity.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenges were you trying to address with Snowy Peak Films?

We wanted creative assets to promote tourism in our city.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Snowy Peak Films is our go-to partner for commercial video production. Regarding the process, we work together to develop a shot list, and they map out everything in terms of locations and people that are going to be in the shots. It’s a collaborative effort where they even take the time to attend some of our events and learn about our community. So far, they’ve made four commercials that are 15–30 seconds long — some short clips are summarized versions of the long ones.

In addition, they provide various music options for us to explore for each commercial they make, and they also take care of the voiceover and the audio mixing. All the commercials are different because they ensure that every aspect is appropriate and matches the excitement and enthusiasm we want to convey.

We’re currently working with them on a recruitment profile video using the footage they already have from previous commercials to make a longer video.

What was the team composition?

We’ve been working mainly with Troy (Founding Partner) and other 3–4 members of their team.

How did you come to work with Snowy Peak Films?

One of our creative consultants referred them to us. We had a previous experience with them and liked their approach, so we decided to use them for multiple projects.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent around $25,000 with them so far.

In addition, our display ads have had over 1 million impressions in the past year, and our streaming commercial impressions are nearly 10 million. Moreover, our website users drastically grew by 250%, and it keeps doubling every year. We use the material they deliver on our social media, for OTT streaming, and in our public access channel through broadcasting.

Additionally, our community partners want to use our commercials to promote as an entity. Overall, the quality of Snowy Peak Films aligns with our image and brand, making a difference within our community and meeting our expectations.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Snowy Peak?

We wanted to tell our story as a company in a video format, so we hired Snowy Peak for video production.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Snowy Peak did video production for us. We started by giving them some ideas of who we are as a company, filled out a questionnaire they gave us, and told them who we wanted to target with this video. Consequently, we had back-and-forth feedback and chose people to interview. After that, they scheduled visits to our different locations to film and get interviews from our team to tell what we do and who we are not only as a company but also as people — they took a lot of notes and had really good questions for that process.

Currently, we’re still working on the script and other areas of the video.

What is the team composition?

We’ve been working with six members of their team, including their co-owners, a director, a director of photography, a gaffer specialist, and a drone operator.

How did you come to work with Snowy Peak?

Someone referred them to our VP of sales and marketing. They came to our offices to meet with us, and their team seemed like awesome people, so we knew immediately that we wanted to work with them.

How much money have you invested in this partnership?

So far, we’ve spent $25,000–$50,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re a fun, professional, easy-to-work-with team that has given us awesome results. Overall, we’re delighted with what they’ve done.

How did Snowy Peak perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been perfect in terms of communication, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re great at attending to our requests for changes, which they do very fast — if we give them feedback in the morning, they apply it within the same day.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend people working with them; their team knows what they’re doing and has the equipment and knowledge to make everything happen.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a quality systems and technical training manager at a large-scale food manufacturing company. My role involves envisioning new quality systems and developing the backend programs required for quality management.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Snowy Peak?

We have about 46 different food manufacturing facilities. One of our goals was to standardize how we deliver messages to new employees or visitors coming to the facility regarding quality and safety aspects. We hired Snowy Peak to develop a video describing all safety and quality requirements.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We engaged Snowy Peak in about a year’s worth of script development and preproduction work, including set lists. We provided context, pictures showing how to enter our facilities, and some aspects we currently use paper for. Additionally, we gave them several copies of our new visitor onboarding paperwork, which is about 3–4 pages’ worth of written material. We worked together to create the script.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 5–8 teammates from Snowy Peak. I worked directly with Troy and Joe (Founding Partners).

How did you come to work with Snowy Peak?

We found them online. I reached out to approximately 10–15 video production companies to assess their abilities to provide what we were looking for. We determined that Snowy Peak was the solution we wanted to move forward with.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from around May 2021–July 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our company had some organizational changes that caused us to reevaluate the need for a video, so we scrapped the project. However, we have nothing but good things to say about Snowy Peak; had they completed the project, it would have been incredibly impactful.

How did Snowy Peak perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time and within the budget. The team was always quick to respond and to provide new ideas if we ever hit a roadblock. Because we’re a large facility, we move slowly, so it takes time for higher-up teammates to make decisions and secure funding, and they were patient with that.

We communicated via email, phone calls, and Zoom. Overall, they were a great team to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As part of the program I put together to vet service providers, we had 20–30 things we were looking for, including tenure and if they had food manufacturing experience. I liked the videos Snowy Peak had on their website; their work spoke well to what I was looking to complete.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of something they could have done better; they did everything we asked.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Troy and Joe are great, so if you can work with them, do it!

How did you come to work with Snowy Peak?

I came across Snowy Peak through a reference. After doing some research and looking through their website, it was a no-brainer for us to hire them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested somewhere between $25,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in September 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since partnering with Snowy Peak, we’ve seen an increase in phone calls and inquiries, and feedback from people seeing the content we’ve produced.

How did Snowy Peak perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a traditional approach to project management, as they consistently meet their deadlines and sit down with us to actually discuss our projects — they provide us with the opportunity to have direct contact with their team and feel listened to.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their sense of urgency and consistent responsiveness throughout the partnership. They also exceed the timelines and deliver outputs way before the actual deadline.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s wonderful to work with a company that makes us such a priority, so I don’t have any constructive feedback.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a workforce performance solutions company, and I’m part of the business development team. We provide other businesses with industrial sports medicine, software employment testing, and office health and ergonomics programs.

We searched on Google for different video production companies within our area, and their name came up. We decided to go with them because they seemed to be the best fit for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about $10,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on this project from August 2021–2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don't have any KPIs to share with you because we just completed the project, so we're just now using them. You would have to circle back probably in like six months for me to be able to give some KPIs.

We’re currently using the videos they made on our websites and presentations to clients. The videos really captured what our company does, allowing us to better explain our services to people and enable our prospects to really envision what that could look like for them.

How did Snowy Peak perform from a project management standpoint?

We typically communicated through email, Microsoft Teams, and monday.com.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We really appreciated how extremely patient they were in this project. They continued to work with us on that project until it was acceptable to all stakeholders, which I think is not something you can count on with other businesses these days. Also, we felt that we were a pretty difficult client to deal with because they had to accommodate several edit requests from us.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

I can’t think of anything at the moment.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm an SEO Manager at Infront Webworks. In business for over 2 decades, Infront Webworks is a full-service, award-winning SEO and digital marketing agency.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Snowy Peak, and what were your goals?

Troy and his team developed several tv commercials for our company. We had never done this before. We needed a production company to develop professional-grade tv commercials that would help us reach potential clients and increase brand awareness.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The quality of their work is exceptional. They had excellent reviews. They are experts at delivering professionally produced video content for all of their clients.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

The tv advertising production process is complex. They helped us develop storyboarding and scripts for 3 different commercials. Helping us trim down the time to appropriate lengths. Then they helped us find actors and actresses to play the parts. They found the perfect locations for the different shots we needed.

Their equipment was top of the line and made flawless shots. Their crew was so friendly and helpful. They helped put the actors at ease. Then came the video editing process and video production. And we were so pleased with the outcome. The commercials are excellent.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with Troy and Joe both founding partners of Snowy Peak TV and their exceptional crew.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The response to the video was overwhelmingly positive. It was very clear and precise about what our company does and how we can help. They are so professional-looking. We couldn't be happier.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Troy and his group were easy to communicate with and provided regular updates. They were very effective communicators. Since we were new to this whole process, they took the time to explain and walk us through everything. We mostly worked via phone and email. Then they brought us to the different locations we would be shooting at a few days beforehand.

We were able to walk out the scenes and decide what extra materials were needed. Then we had an entire day of shooting at the different locations. The coaching and directing was so spot on. And the end product was simply amazing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were well educated about our services. They really understand how to convey different ideas that grab attention cinematically. The quality was outstanding.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Snowy Peak, and what were your goals?

Our in-house video team was unable to travel and needed a local videographer to capture our graduation ceremony. Our goal was to create a highlight video and create excitement for future graduates.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

My colleague recommended them. They were avaiable for the project, fit my budget and very helpful navigating a last minute shoot.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

Troy laid out what could be expected from day of shoot to editing process. I was looking for a 90 min video and in the end went with about 2 minutes. The turn around time was quick! I spoke with the editor on the phone as well as left comments directly on the video. He knew exactly my vision and after only three editing rounds the final video was delivered

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We showed the video to the whole company by sharing on our slack channel. The video will be used in email campaigns, posted on social media, placed on our website, used in ads and promotion for future graduations.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

I was stressed finding a last minute videographer to fill the role for our graduation ceremony but as soon as I spoke with Troy I felt confident they were the right ones to get the job done. They explained all the details upfront and helped me navigate areas of the project I didn't have the knowledge for. They were responsive over email but also just picked up the phone to work out details and final edits. The tool they used for video edits was great and easy! Gabe followed up after the shoot and explain how it went since I was unable to be there in person. (Which I appreciated!) The turnaround time was a few days and was able to present the video to our company and graduates in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their professionalism. I felt the job was in good hands. During the editing process I were looking for peices of content that may be able to enhance the piece a bit more and Gabe knew exactly when footage and quotes he could pull for that. Even without much time to brainstorm its outcome, they still captured and edited the piece just how we pictured it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

no, everything was great!
