BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a group psychotherapy practice called the Center for Integrative Change. We specialize in helping those who are struggling with compulsive sexual behaviors, problematic substance use, and difficult couple relationships to find healing and wholeness.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Simple & Soulful Creative?

As a sole practitioner of psychotherapy, I wanted to expand my business, which meant that I needed to rebrand the business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I hired Simple & Soulful to not only look at redoing and revising my website from the ground up, but to also build a new brand around my identity, and what I wanted the group practice to embody.

I asked them to help with the rebranding, including the logo design, creating brand colors, copywriting services, and their SEO services. They also did a lot of work on the back end of the website, to make sure a lot of the technical details were placed for the migration from WordPress to Squarespace. The meat of what they did was to help build the website, in a way that was consistent with the brand we were building.

They provided a very holistic package that we did together, since it was a comprehensive project.

What is the team composition?

I mainly worked with Deana (Owner, Website Designer, & Brand Strategist). Moses (Owner) did a lot of the heavy lifting on the backend of the website, and made sure that the right redirects were in place. It was very helpful to have that technical expertise and problem-solving approach, combined with Deana’s project management and creativity — it made for a really awesome team.

How did you come to work with Simple & Soulful Creative?

I heard about them through my business coach, and I had some serious website envy when I was looking at a project that they’d done.

I had a very strong endorsement from my business coach and knowing how his experience went having his website done through them, it was a very easy decision going with Simple & Soulful.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about $8,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–March 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I had a lot of positive feedback about the site not only from current clients, but also from other people who’ve had a look at it. It’s been very affirming, and they have nothing but good things to say about the site.

Deana was fantastic in asking the right questions and bringing my vision to life. She gave me a few different options for the imagery that was very comprehensive and thorough. She also helped me do a vision board to get a sense of what I was looking for, visually. I couldn’t be happier with how things turned out and it’s been a wonderful journey with Simple & Soulful.

How did Simple & Soulful Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

I was blown away by the way they manage the project – they thought of everything. My questions were always answered in a timely manner, and there was a lot of structure to the project, so I never felt like I had to question where we were with everything. The process was always very clear and collaborative, and working with them was very comforting.

We usually communicated through email and occasionally, we would schedule Zoom calls to work through some visuals.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think that their process is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. They were so thorough, and more than that, they were so respectful of my process and what I wanted. I never felt bad or guilty about wanting a small little change, because they understood that that was part of the process.

I always felt that what I wanted and needed was their priority, so that any revision that I requested wasn’t an issue. Simple & Soulful was very committed to a positive outcome for our work together, and I was just really struck by that all the way through.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind. Obviously, it’s been a fantastic experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone who’s looking for their services.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Simple & Soulful helped me make my ROI many times over — the website they made is going to be the foundation of my business for many years to come.

Are they expensive? Sure, but I know that a professionally done website was really something that I needed for my business moving forward. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Simple & Soulful again.
