Ross provided site audits and regular email/phone consultation on our seo strategy. He focused mostly on on-page SEO and content recommendations and we paid a monthly retainer for his time and work.

At the time, we mainly worked with the owner since he was just starting out as a consultant.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We saw traffic and rankings improvements where we had implemented Ross's recommendations. We were specifically competing for high-value head terms in the education space and were able to maintain/reclaim a lot of those rankings.

Ross was extremely responsive and proactive in his communications. He reviewed each of our sites on a regular basis and sent out monthly audits and updates. In addition, if he had an insight in between those updates, he send those over on an ad hoc basis. We'd also regularly email him questions and he responded very quickly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most unique thing was to the extent which they focused on providing value. As an SEO expert, he knows what is really going to move the needle for businesses and doesn't fill space with busy work.

No, we were very happy with the partnership

Our sites and site layout/architecture were improved, measured by ux metrics, page load performance and also improved keyword rankings.

We mainly communicated through email back then. Ross is very responsive and clear in his communication.

They drove the highest quality and lowest cost links out of any of the 5 similar vendors I worked with. Their team was incredibly professional. 10/10 would recommend

Ultimately, their content delivered the lowest cost but highest value backlinks that I've seen over my entire marketing career.

No. Honestly, one of the best vendors (out of 15+) I have ever worked with.

We deliver high quality education at scale, meeting learners wherever they are in their learning journey. We provide digital solutions that span a wide range of verticals and commitment levels, ranging from free courses to Doctorate degrees. My role is the Director of Content Marketing, and I primarily operate over the degree line of business with supplemental support to Bootcamps and the Open Course Marketplace. We publish and leverage content to drive organic search performance across 20-25 priority domains each year, with keyword rankings and an aggressive backlink strategy as our pillars of success.

We wanted to create content that could achieve multiple KPI's, versus publishing content solely for linkbuilding or keyword rankings. This is a process we had started independently, but wanted outside expertise to help us bring the two strategies closer together. We also wanted insight into industry best practices, outside of our scope of work at 2U.

We decided on 6 deliverables, and set up a schedule over the course of about two months. The idea was that we would walk through content ideation to creation process with Siege, and at the end they would deliver us a piece of content they created in the process. The goals we asked to address were as follows:

• Understand how both competitors and companies outside of the education technology space are successfully executing content marketing strategy.
• Develop new strategies for identifying optimal topics, formats and audiences during content development that can be executed at scale, while leveraging the library of existing content.
• Understand how content marketing teams are structured and what interaction models exist between those teams and the broader companies.
• Develop new strategies for content dissemination to engage potential customers.

In the end the team delivered 5-6 deliverables, each consisting of a training session/overview and a document, described below:

• Analysis of 2-3 adjacent 2U properties. Summary of content marketing competitors (both companies and editorial publication) and their strategy
• Documents and screen recordings to help explain what to look for when doing keyword research (search intent, search volume vs. clicks, KOB analysis) and content audit best practices
• We’ll collaborate with the 2U team to create a team process document
• We’ll create a document that outlines how we approach outreach and suggestions for the 2U team to implement.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This is the piece of content that Siege created for us as one of the final deliverables: https://teach.com/resources/teaching-mentor/ Currently the content piece has earned 28 backlinks and is ranking for 140 keywords. As a result from learning Siege Media's processes, we have taken steps to incorporate more strategies for keyword rankings into linkbuilding pieces to expand on how we measure success.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very! We would meet regularly, as deliverables were due and for status updates in between. Elsie was our project manager and she responded to emails efficiently in order to address all of our questions or concerns.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Efficiency and compatibility, we have worked with other consultants that it took much longer to receive deliverables or did not really understand the nuances of our strategy at 2U.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think there was only one deliverable that didn't really resonate, which was around team structure. However, I could see their suggestions working in different team environments but it wasn't a fit for the way 2U operates without changing workflow for other stakeholders.

We had previously worked with another content agency but despite the work done, we were not happy with the results. Through an online search and a recommendation from an industry professional, we contacted Siege and were delighted with their proposal.

We were asked for comprehensive information about our company and our audience. Especially the type of content we were looking for. They made us several proposals with different action plans and costs so that we could choose the one that best suited our needs... and so we started working with them.

We work together with a Content Marketing Manager and a Content Marketing Specialist. They make the content proposals for the whole month and write and deliver the posts for our blog.

Since we started working with Siege our organic traffic to the blog in the US has not stopped going up. In 2021 it has grown +35% YoY.

The workflow with Siege is very fast and effective. Both the proposals and the monthly results are taken care of down to the smallest detail. They are available to answer any questions and are very proactive in identifying and proposing opportunities for improvement.

What I find most impressive about this agency is their high-quality work and consistent professionalism.

Honestly, I couldn't say areas of improvement. We are very happy with them on all levels. Also the economic proposals for the renovation of the project have been adapted to our possibilities and needs.
