We have worked with Sidetool for the past few months to create a custom AI chat bot for our language learning platform. They have been very patient with us. They are always willing to listen to feedback and accomodate our requests. They have helped us with difficult integrations such as Kakao and intercom. 

They are working on integrating the bot to the backend of our dashboard. Our goal is to use this bot to cut costs, decrease manual labor, and streamline operations. They are doing a great job so far!

We worked on changing the tone of the bot to be suitable for our customers. We also are working on training the bot to understand our platform data such as scheduling information. Next, we are working on training the bot to help with mentor matching and discount codes.

Avoid Sidetool – Unethical & Incompetent

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Sidetool. Their code architecture is terrible, and their work consistently broke my app. Instead of fixing their own mistakes, they charged me extra to “fix” issues they created—only to break the app even more. They switched the developer working on my app 4 times in 4 months- that meant a new developer every month - that means a new learning curve and being charged for their learning every month. They had massive turnover. Instead of apologizing for this - they charged me extra for the extra time it would take for their developer to learn the code. 

To make matters worse, they charged me $4,000 without my permission and pushed my business back months, costing me $30,000 in damages. Their team even claimed we needed to “increase hours” to fix the problems they caused, which felt like an intentional scam.

The CEO, Ed, runs a highly questionable operation. I wouldn’t recommend this agency to anyone looking for reliable no-code development. If you’re considering Sidetool, stay far away—there are much better options out there - they made my product completely non-functioning and don't have any good developers. Their solution to any problems or mistakes they did was : let's increase the hours to fix this.

• The app had one feature-optimize it's function - but they instead weren't able to even create the feature right - they took one month and still couldn't make it right which left us with a broken app since they built it so wrong.

• They built things with poor architecture and never documented when they pushed anything live. 
• The next developer I brought on said their biggest problem was utter disorganized code

Yes - they need better developers and to organize their code, document when they ship things live, keep their client updated on why something is broken and what they are doing to fix it. they shouldn't charge clients extra for big mistakes they make. Fix their developer churn issue- I should not have a new developer every month and pay for them to learn the code
