Our website was created over 15 years ago and had become outdated. Since we didn't have in house developers to invest in a new website, we hired this team to design and develop a WordPress site for us. By doing this, we were hoping to increase our traffic substantially by the and of the year.

We searched online for web developers in our area and shortlisted 5. After interviewing them, we chose this vendor based on their past projects, design skills, and cost estimate.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. From there, the team delivered mock-ups and wireframes for our site. After a few Iterations, their team designed and developed an informational WordPress site. They updated the content to reflect our company's services and created a landing page with a contact form.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. There were also 2 full stack developers and a designer working behind the scenes.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our site, we saw a 70% increase in traffic, and our incoming leads doubled month over month thanks to the landing page. Clients love the updated design, and they now have a better understanding of our services.

We had daily stand-ups with their project manager, who communicated with the rest of the team. If there were any delays, they let us know ahead of time so that we could prepare. We used Slack, Jira, and GitHub to coordinate, and they worked wall with our team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They gave us a professional site that's easy to update and understand. My team had never worked with WordPress before, so they took the time to teach us how to update the content ourselves.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first launched, there were some minor bugs on the contact form. We let them know, and they were quick to fix the issues.

I’m the finance manager at Abatco, a trading company of powerplants. We provide generators, power equipment, and high-powered demands for the industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with SFU Technologies (Pvt) Ltd.?

We needed someone to develop our CRM. We have long projects with our customers with regular follow-ups and things to do.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed a cloud-based CRM. We requested a mini-ERP from them to control our stock and customer satisfaction. 

It was mainly for the company’s profit chain starting from customer queries to our sales team and then onto the store team. Then, if stock is not available, it goes to the procurement team and the finance team. 

They did integrations within the CRM. For example, they linked an HR module so we can trace it by the employee and the salesperson. 

They also linked our contractors and customers to the portal. The CRM provides a link with our website, so they can accept their relevant module through the online portal. Then, they can make requests from there.

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with three people. There was one from the technical side, one from the financial side, and one from the sales team.

I found them through an online search, and I reached out to 10-15 companies.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested $300,000-$400,000 in their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2018, and it lasted until September 2018.

I’m really happy with their services. They’re active. Our sales team is really comfortable with the ease of the software. It’s really easy for them to use.

When the portal needed something, they responded on time. They’re still in touch with me for regular feedback, which is good.

I’m impressed with their services.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, I have no problem with them. Their approach is very nice.

But, they could be stronger in understanding the technical side. On the financial side, they’re very strong. Their development side is also very strong. However, their understanding of the project could be stronger.

Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) has been established by Ministry of Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan to upgrade technology and skills of key and strategic industrial cluster and connect Pakistan to the global value chain.

TUSDEC has implemented a range of development projects all across Pakistan in diverse areas related to technology upgradation and skill development with Government of Pakistan and various donors including Asian Development Bank, European Union, GiZ , USAID, PSDF, UNDP etc. I work as an Assistant Manager Marketing. Under various roles, my key responsibilities included public private partnerships, filling of RFP's & EOI's, marketing of training program, development of marketing material, planning, and coordination with stakeholders, placements, enrollments & career counseling.

I have improved my professional skills through various training workshops including Persuasive Marketing, Digital Marketing, Career Counseling and Communication skills.

We hired SFU Technologies for Digital & Social Media Marketing. We have been working on enhancing job oriented skills of youth so they can earn their bread & butter. We wanted to highlight our Skills Youth Development Project leading to employment. Our objective was to reach to maximum number of people so they can get benefit from this project. SFU Technologies helped us out in this regard very professionally. SFU ran very successful Social media campaign which gave us desirable results.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We visited many companies for Digital Marketing services. Due to SFU Technologies normal prices and past experience we select SFU.

We conducted a brainstorming sessions with our management including SFU Technologies team to make a road map of campaign. We drafted social media marketing strategy focusing on recruitment of candidates for training from targeted areas. Our main focus was to create an attractive ads and contents so we can get registrations. The marketing tools we used are emails and facebook ads.

There were 2 persons involved with us from SFU Technologies. Project Manager & Content writer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The social media marketing campaigns which include Facebook and email went very successful. We got 85% registrations from campaign before our deadline.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had a meetings on zoom and whatsapp regarding our campaign. They were responsive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The uniqueness about them is that their team was very professional and knowledgeable on digital marketing tools.

Their social media marketing skills specially Facebook were more than our expectations.
