We should have seen an increase in US traffic (impressions and clicks). We didn't. At best, it was a flatline, not an increase as promised.

We trusted them as the professionals on the subject. During the audit phase, they gave us a flood of keywords in the English language and said their opinion is to target service pages, not blogs, to increase traffic and qualified leads. At the monthly meetings, they were giving us screenshots from Ahrefs, where they were happy with 1 click on 1 page, calling it a success. 
When we mentioned that the traffic is dropping, they gave us a lengthy ChatGPT-written response that our niche is very competitive (in contrast with the audit, when they said the niche is approachable), with more screenshots that the pages they've worked on receive a whopping 2 clicks, and the drop in traffic is due to the Spanish language. Basically, a "not my business" attitude. 
They did not care, and they stopped answering after we pointed out that we lost more than 50% of our traffic during our collaboration, and simply sent the last deliverables (again, more screenshots) over email. 
That's not how you communicate with an unhappy customer.

At first, the testimonials and it seemed they had the expertise to help us. But we ended up more than disappointed.

I don't know. We felt that every time we pointed out that our traffic is dropping, they shielded behind Ahrefs screenshots, pointing out that it's none of their business, what they are doing is not affected, giving us a screenshot with the US traffic as a flatline between Dec 2025 and Feb 2026 (when we should have seen even the slightest increase), and that another language is the reason for the drop. But honestly, I doubt an 80% drop in total traffic can be attributed solely to one non-English language, and I was disappointed that they did not take responsibility for their actions.
