What challenge were you trying to address with Serps Invaders?

We needed help with SEO and content creation needs. Our company was being rebranded, so we were creating a new website. We had an older website, and we wanted to transfer the old content onto the new site. We also wanted to optimize the content, which had never been done before. Additionally, we wanted to run some digital campaigns to promote the rebrand.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Serps Invaders provided SEO and PPC services. They also helped us migrate to Google Analytics 4. Moreover, the team supported us with copywriting and created a few service web pages. They provided support during the transfer to Google Analytics 4 and worked on setting up all our reporting around the new website.

Serps Invaders developed the digital and PPC campaigns and set us all up on Google for success. The campaigns ran for around three months after they set them up.

Furthermore, the team provided SEO-driven copywriting and created 7–10 pages altogether. They optimized the older pages for the new website and helped create new content. They also ensured that the Google reporting was set up for us so that we wouldn’t need to edit or update it in the future.

What is the team composition?

We mainly worked with Beth, who was involved in account and Google elements management and copy creation. We also worked with Feli, the founder, who scoped the project and provided support and direction.

How did you come to work with Serps Invaders?

I had previously worked with Serps Invaders while working with a different company. They were well-renowned, and I knew they could help with our SEO and content creation needs. We found them through Google, and they were Edinburgh-based.

My last company was also based in Edinburgh, and I had worked with them for 4–5 years, so I knew what Serps Invaders  was capable of. When I moved to my new company, they were my first choice.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around £5,000–£8,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August 2023 to January 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They successfully created nine web pages and handled some press releases. Their PPC campaigns did quite well. On Google Ads, we had around 5,000 relevant clicks over the first three months.

Furthermore, the interaction rate was quite high, around the 15%–20% mark. The conversion rates for the initial launch were around 6%, which was very high.

How did Serps Invaders perform from a project management standpoint?

The budget was never an issue, and Serps Invaders was very clear about timelines. We communicated primarily via email and used Trello for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Serps Invaders was very good at understanding the issue but never oversold what they were trying to do. I never felt pressured to take on a new service. I always felt the budget was reasonable. They provided good value for money, and their expertise was quite strong in all areas. Their knowledge in their Google PVC area stood out.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I genuinely struggled to think of something. There were no issues. I would certainly continue working with them in the future.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Understand your actual task and what you’re trying to achieve from the start. Make sure you have some level of scope so that it’s not just a guessing game for Serps Invaders. Be open to their suggestions because they’re experts in those areas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Serps Invaders?

We needed help with our website’s SEO and online presence.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We wanted to overhaul our website and update our SEO strategy. Serps Invaders was already familiar with the business and website, so they understood the direction in which we were taking the company. They did keyword research to understand what we were ranking for and what we might want to try to rank higher for in the future.

They worked with a web developer to help with page structuring and content optimization within the code. They advised on changes to the page structures, metadata, and sitemap, ensuring they worked for SEO.

Serps Invaders had worked with the previous property owner, who was happy with the team’s work and actively recommended them to us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We maintained or exceeded our website visitor targets since Serps Invaders redid it. We saw a 20% increase in traffic year-over-year, and much of that was organic acquisition. We gained a lot of bookings and were truly happy with the results.

How did Serps Invaders perform from a project management standpoint?

They were organized and stayed on top of things. The team always hit deadlines, and there were no delays — they were super reliable. We used Basecamp well and communicated via email, phone calls, and Google Meet. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Beth and Feli were great. Beth truly delivered the project, while Feli was more involved in the initial calls to ensure everything was aligned. She also supervised the team behind the scenes. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Serps Invaders was organized and efficient. Before the project, we didn’t understand the value of SEO, but the team was great at simplifying the concept. This helped us understand what they were doing and why they were doing it. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They invoiced us every month. I would’ve preferred to have fewer invoices to deal with, which would be easier due to the money involved. There were some months when they didn’t send an invoice, which caused me to lose track of payments a bit.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Call Serps Invaders and speak to them. They’re good at talking about their work in person.

      Serps Invaders helped devise and deliver an SEO and content strategy for Collingwood-Norris' ecommerce site, with a particular focus on their visible mending and darning products. Serps provided an in-depth SEO strategy that included a technical audit, extensive keyword research and on-page optimisation. Additionally they developed a supporting content strategy. In order to support the client with the implementation of the SEO and content strategy, we also provided two bespoke training sessions in order to upskill the client. This helped the client to gain a further understanding of how to create optimised content going forward and the importance of link building. This knowledge empowered the team to be able to build on our initial strategy and see long-term results.
