Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the owner of a firm which installs custom residential shower glass for remodeling projects, and also installs other custom made glass products.

For what projects/services did your company hire SEO Monolith, and what were your goals?

We needed a web site design update, and search engine optimization. We needed assistance with receiving and processing sales leads from the web. We needed a more seamless, convenient, and efficient way for prospective customers to do business with us.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed prospective vendors and selected SEO Monolith because of the high level of professionalism, knowledge and design skills and reliability our account manager demonstrated to us.

Our first project was a redesign of our existing website. That has been completed, and we are very happy with the look and function of the new site. Our second project was search engine optimization, and that is ongoing, with SEO Monolith monitoring our internet visibility, increasing our rankings, providing us with key analytical data, and revising/adding keywords, etc. as needed or requested by us.

The third project is also ongoing. That is to maintain and monitor our internet presence and business reputation on various aggregating media platforms like Internet Yellow Pages, Yelp, BBB, etc. the fourth project underway is an email marketing campaign. In addition, our account manager is always available to gladly answer any tech related questions that arise. All of this works together to further our business development and increase the growth of our company.

We worked closely with:

Our account representative is there either in person (we are fortunate to live in proximity to him), and electronically during every phase of our projects. Because we are not highly skilled in the digital environment, we have greatly appreciated the personal touch our account manager has employed throughout.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our newly designed website is very attractive, fresh and modern in appearance. The new site offers more functionality for our current business needs and is easier to navigate than our old one. Our site visits and search engine rankings are increasing steadily. We are receiving a growing volume of leads.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I think I may have answered that above…we met in person as needed or as we requested, with a monthly recap progress report submitted to us. The workflow was seamless on their part, and because we are a small business, when our attention was distracted elsewhere, our account representative was always on top of the flow to gently remind us that we needed to do something on our part. We are very happy with the partnership we have developed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We feel that we can trust and rely on them to deliver as promised. Because they can handle many other digitally related projects pertinent to growing our business, we plan to employ them for additional projects in the future.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are very happy with our results.

I’m the managing partner of Scott Michael Group (SMG) LLC and SMG Synergy. SMG is part of the ceramic tile industry and we have different ways to operate, one is through an agent on behalf of overseas manufacturers where we sell directly from factories overseas to big tile distributors all over the US and the Carribean. 

Meanwhile, for SMG synergy, we do sales training, business development type of work, and cost reduction. We serve as a consulting firm for companies to help them grow their business.

What challenge were you trying to address with SEO Monolith?

For SMG, I wanted to revamp my website and have some direct social media marketing out to my client base.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They overhauled our existing SMG website. They interviewed me as to what I was looking for to change on my platform. At the same time, they also asked me about my goals, what my business was about, and where I was looking to go. 

Then, for SMG Synergy, since it’s a startup company, we needed them to create a brand new website. So far, they’ve finished setting up our new platform. For both companies, SEO Monolith made a synopsis sharing their thoughts about the projects.

Currently, the SEO Monolith team launches direct email campaigns for SMG and SMG Synergy. For the social media aspect, they create all the content for our digital marketing campaigns. I give them information about the different factories that I represent and the pictures to use. After that, they usually send visuals back to me which usually takes 2–3 runs going back and forth until we get things right.

One of the campaigns they set up was called Active Campaign and it involved some automation where clients could click on a button. If they decide they don’t want to click the first time, the system reminds them again.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with two people. Then, we have a team of people in charge of the content and posting on social media.

How did you come to work with SEO Monolith?

We found SEO Monolith through a client of ours. That company said that the team was really good at what they do. Moreover, that client also said that they were happy with SEO Monolith.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

With SEO Monolith’s support, our client base recognizes our brands better. I also receive positive comments on the quality of my social media accounts and email campaigns. For the email campaigns, we have an average of 32% open rate for SMG — it's also due to the brand being in the market for a while now.

Overall, SEO Monolith is professional, and they create very good and informative graphics for us. That may also be the reason why people are interested to open up what we present to them. 

How did SEO Monolith perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Google Docs shared folder with a schedule on it and it’s got all the columns we need to be able to operate. They react very quickly and that has helped a lot because I’ve got a lot of things going on. 

Moreover, they’re always asking me to try and set up the entire month of how I want things to look. They’ve also been very cooperative, helpful, and understanding. From a project management standpoint, they’re always on top of everything. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

SEO Monolith is very creative and that’s exactly what we’re looking for. They always look outside the box, and they challenge themselves to come up with different ideas. Whenever we tell them that they need to do a creative piece for us, we can immediately see their wheels turning. 

They’re very proactive, and with them, the sky seems to be the limit. Above all, they always look far ahead to get us to the next level. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We talk about so many things all the time and having notes about our meetings will be helpful. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You should look at SEO Monolith’s website because you’ll undoubtedly see interesting things.

For example, I saw information about geofencing in their platform, and that also sparked my curiosity and would surely interest a retailer within the same industry on how SEO Monolith could capture their audience’s attention.

I’m the owner of Florida Valve Fitting. We provide industrial valve and fitting components for the oil and gas power industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with SEO Monolith?

We’re regional distributors for product lines, and all of the towns have attractive websites for local customers. We wanted a site so people could find out where we’re located and what we offer, as most of our leads will find our cellphone on the website or send emails to contact us.

We gave SEO Monolith the background information and template for the pages. They built the website with an info page, which allows people to send information directly to us for inquiries.

We found out about them through word of mouth; it was a referral from a friend. There are so many people out there that create websites, so it was comforting to know that somebody knew a team that did a good job.

We started working with them in September 2020, and everything was up and running by December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website added credibility to my product line as a new distributor. We have a good-looking website that has all the information people are looking for. Since we’re a small company in a niche community, we’ve only received feedback saying that the site looks very professional, which is what we were looking for.
 
How did SEO Monolith perform from a project management standpoint?

Since we were creating a site outside of what’s conventional, we gave SEO Monolith the direction we were looking for. They gave me some examples and threw everything together in a week or two. Most of our communication was over the phone or through emails, sending files back and forth. The project moved pretty fast.
 
What did you find most impressive about them?

They were able to make it simple. The project didn’t require months of work, since it was more of a landing page, and it wasn’t ridiculous price-wise.
 
I have another company, and they helped me with websites for both. They’re able to cater their work to very niche engineers and technical people. They focused on what I needed for our particular marketplace.   
 
Are there any areas they could improve?

We don’t have anything, really. They did move quickly, but that isn’t necessarily a fault.

Before you get started on anything, make sure you know your customer base and what you’re trying to accomplish with the site.
