I’m the CEO and co-founder of a dating app that matches compatible personality types.

What challenge were you trying to address with SeedLegals?

We needed SeedLegals’s help with legal work relating to a funding round.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SeedLegals essentially comes up with all the legal documents for the seed round of our funding.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked closely with two people, but I encounter different people each day on their online chat system.

How did you come to work with SeedLegals?

SeedLegals was a recommendation from someone I knew. I was told that they’ve got some really good people on their team and that they offer lower prices compared to other lawyers, so I decided to work with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested around a few thousand dollars.

What is the status of this engagement?

We brought SeedLegals in around August 2020. We’re still working with them but are close to finishing the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SeedLegals has a super helpful dashboard where they explain the legal terms. I can also go on there to make changes myself, which is quite nice since I won’t always have to rely on other people. I’ve just been really happy with the experience.

How did SeedLegals perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s our first time using a service like theirs, but everything has been clear ever since I talked to a salesperson at the beginning. We do quite a lot of back and forth through their online chat system, where we ask questions and set up calls. They’re really quick to reply, usually within 10 minutes or so. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

SeedLegals has offered the best value really. As I mentioned, having that dashboard where we can change things ourselves has been helpful. If, for example, our address changes, we don’t need to go the lawyer’s office to change it. We can just write to them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. I would definitely work with them again.

If you want a good understanding of how it is to work with SeedLegals, read their blog posts. They’ve got quite a good few that are detailed regarding laws.
