he collaboration with SECL Group resulted in clear improvements in delivery speed, scalability, and engineering efficiency across ColabPro’s client projects. Through dedicated development teams and team augmentation, ColabPro was able to accelerate feature delivery and reduce time-to-market for mainly JavaScript-based solutions built with Angular, React, and Node.js. 
The engagement also supported key technical initiatives, including software audit activities that helped identify areas for improvement in existing systems, as well as software modernisation efforts focused on improving performance and maintainability. SECL Group handled end-to-end custom software development for a B2B partner portal and internal enterprise software solution that supports our partner and sales operations around drone simulator products. The scope of work included business analysis, software architecture, back-end development in Python/FastAPI, front-end development in JavaScript/React, UX/UI design, QA, and API development. They built a secure web-based portal for our partners, created the internal workflows needed by our team, and implemented the integrations required to connect the new system with HubSpot.

A major part of the project was AI agent development and AI integration. SECL Group designed and implemented a multi-agent AI system that enriched each partner profile, collected and structured relevant company and contact data, and prepared CRM-ready information for our sales and marketing processes. This helped automate manual research, improve data quality, and streamline partner management workflows.

They also supported enterprise app modernization and data migration by moving data from our legacy custom CRM into HubSpot, cleaning and mapping records, and integrating HubSpot with the new platform through custom REST API integrations.

The multi-agent AI system significantly accelerated partner enrichment by automatically collecting, structuring, and preparing CRM-ready data, which improved the completeness and consistency of partner records. The migration from our legacy custom CRM to HubSpot was completed successfully, giving us a more scalable and reliable CRM foundation. We were very happy with SECL Group overall. As with any complex custom software development project involving AI integration, data migration, and API integration, there were moments where additional upfront documentation or more detailed planning for certain phases could have been helpful. However, the team was highly responsive and collaborative, so they addressed questions and evolving requirements quickly. Overall, we did not see any major areas for improvement.

I’m the CEO of 8.2 Certification GmbH, an accredited certification body that issues plant certificates and declarations of conformity to ensure power plants comply with current grid codes and operational guidelines.

What challenge were you trying to address with SECL Group?

We needed to automate internal business processes that were previously managed manually to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead. We also needed to develop a centralized project management portal from scratch to manage certification workflows and client projects. The goal was to enable structured tracking of applications, project statuses, and task progress within a single system. We also wanted to implement document exchange and secure communication between internal teams and external clients through the platform. Lastly, we wanted to introduce automated notifications and reminders for status changes, deadlines, and workflow updates to improve process transparency and control.

SECL Group was responsible for the end-to-end design and development of a custom project management and client portal aimed at digitizing and automating our internal business processes. The project began with a product discovery phase, during which the team helped us clarify requirements, map out key workflows, and define the most effective solution approach. In parallel, a scalable system architecture was designed to ensure long-term flexibility, security, and maintainability.

One of the most significant outcomes was the transition from fully manual workflows to a centralized digital platform, which considerably reduced the time required to process applications, coordinate projects, and manage internal communication. The new system also introduced a modern and intuitive user experience, making daily operations more efficient for both internal teams and clients.
A major impact came from the automation of key workflows, including status tracking and notifications, which improved transparency and helped teams stay aligned with deadlines and project milestones. The implementation of structured document management and integrated communication tools reduced reliance on email-based coordination, minimizing delays and improving the overall flow of information across the organization. At the same time, system performance and stability improved thanks to optimized processes and a more robust platform architecture.
Integrations with external systems, including government databases and third-party services, enabled automated data validation and significantly reduced the need for manual verification, improving both accuracy and efficiency. In addition, the platform introduced new capabilities such as role-based access control, automated reminders, and end-to-end project tracking, which were highly valuable to our team. Overall, the solution increased operational efficiency, reduced administrative workload, and created a scalable foundation for continued digital transformation.
As a result of this project, our company grew from 2–16 employees, and our annual revenue increased from €100,000 to €2,000,000. We could also complete between 2–20 projects per month.

Communication was always clear, fast, and structured, which made collaboration easy despite the complexity of the domain.

We were particularly impressed by their ability to handle complex technical challenges, including working with legacy systems, designing scalable architecture, and implementing multiple integrations with external services, including government databases. These integrations were delivered in a stable and reliable way, ensuring secure and automated data exchange.
