We hired Searchbloom to initially raise the number of quality leads and admissions we were receiving through PPC and Google Ads. Our primary key deliverables were new, high-performing campaigns. However, Searchbloom noticed that in order for them to identify proper lead quality, certain integrations and tracking would be required in our CRM, adding additional layers of attribution and tracking to the key deliverables.

Searchbloom's project management is top-notch. Virtually all items are delivered on time and rarely, if anything, has ever fallen through the cracks. Our primary analyst at Searchbloom, Matt Hickman, responds to our needs and overdelivers, working on and not letting go of things like attribution which has historically been a very tough nut to crack.
There are a few items that have taken longer than expected, but those are usually lower-value items, while the foundational pieces to our campaigns are always optimized and serving as they need to.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Searchbloom helps us drive traffic to our website to attract interested buyers in our new development areas. For keyword research, they’ve given us a preliminary presentation that highlights keywords that are relevant to our goals. Apart from that, they’ve provided us with another list of keywords and search terms that have been built off of the preliminary list.
Our relationship has evolved a little bit in the past — they not only provide us now with SEO services, but they also use their expertise to develop our website further. We consult them on how we can make the site more user-friendly and accessible.
In terms of technology, they’re using a number of in-house tools along with publicly available tools, such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager.

We’ve worked with 4–5 people, including Cody (CEO & Founder), Alec (Partner & Team Lead), and Jonathan (Senior Director of Operations).
How did you come to work with Searchbloom?
I had a contact in Searchbloom, so I reached out and let him know about the project. I gave them our website and had an introductory meeting with Cody. He’d put together a presentation for me, which was extremely informative. It was already beneficial to us even though we hadn’t engaged them fully yet. They had so much good information in that presentation that it convinced us to work with them.

We started working together in October 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s taken us a while to set up metric tracking on Google Analytics, but we’re going over that soon. For some of the important search terms we’re targeting, we’re now on the first page of Google search results, up from being on the third or fourth page. In other words, we’ve had some highly positive results in terms of moving up the search engine rankings with those search terms. On top of that, our traffic is trending upwards.
How did Searchbloom perform from a project management standpoint?
Searchbloom’s communication is fantastic. We have biweekly meetings, and I get updates every week or multiple times per week. The team finishes deliverables quickly after they’re initiated.
In fact, some things are planned a month in advance. If there’s any delay, it’s usually because of us. For instance, we can’t deliver what they need from us on time. Overall, Searchbloom sets reasonable deadlines; they under-promise and over-deliver. To communicate, we mainly use Zoom and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication is top-notch. On top of that, they have a great ability not only to track metrics but also to come up with a plan to capitalize on them. We’ve had a great experience.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Searchbloom could have better onboarding materials or explanations for people unfamiliar with SEO or not technologically savvy. Things like SEO terminologies can be intimidating for these people.
To be fair, I personally haven’t had any problem with it. Searchbloom has done a great job explaining things that we don’t understand.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Take plenty of notes. Moreover, you can benefit greatly from having an initial meeting with them. The meeting is highly informative and provides plenty of metrics and data. You can learn so much from that initial call.

Once this is established they then work on fixing the critical issues on a 90 day plan, the 90 day plans enables you to also fix what key issues are important as well as address any changes within the business such as acquisition to adjust the plan.

Our project began with a consultation so we could clearly communicate our objectives. We described our target client and gave a list of our competitors. Matt was able to provide PPC services that almost immediately increased the amount of inquiry calls we were receiving. We specifically track these calls so it was obvious that what Matt was doing was working.

As we’re building up the ground together, we saw more targeted users for conversion. We still need time to call the impact of revenue conversion but all look good so far to establish a good to go state.

I’d like to hear more about the creativity or actionable items that they can suggest from the data they analyze on traffics. I'd also love to hear more about the expectations of metrics growth and how we can achieve them.
