What challenge were you trying to address with Screenbreak Motion Design Animation?

We had a customer with a high-end presentation to very serious stakeholders, politicians, and developers about a new development. That customer had to impress 40–50 people in the room, so we reached out to Screenbreak Motion Design & Animation for that task.

What is the scope of their involvement?

Screenbreak Motion Design & Animation did video production for us. We started by discussing with our customer and Screenbreak Motion Design & Animation's team how we could address our challenge, relying on their expertise. After that, we supplied them with video footage, photographs, drawings, and animation so they could put everything together.

It started as a video project, but they said it needed a high-end, slick PowerPoint presentation to give everybody the right impression, so it ended up being a mixture of presentation templates and video production. Overall, there was a video followed by slides that were easy to navigate through.

We worked mainly with Joe (Founder), who acted as a project manager.

We spent around €20,000 (approximately $21,000 USD) with them.

What is the status of the engagement?

We worked together from October–December 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

What they delivered was exceptional; our customer was nervous with this presentation, and it ended up being a successful project. Afterward, our customer was very grateful for Screenbreak Motion Design & Animation's work — it was the most appreciative client ever. From that sense, our partnership couldn't have been better.

How did Screenbreak Motion Design Animation perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent at project management; their team delivered ahead of deadlines, and within the great price they quoted for us. In terms of tools and communication, we used phone calls, email, Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They delivered within my tight timelines with an easygoing approach.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn't think there was anything they could improve on.

If you find yourself working with them, I think you're in the best hands possible.

We worked with private and NHS hospitals in the UK and wanted to create an explainer video to showcase our services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Screenbreak developed an explainer video for us that included animation. My team put the script together, which Screenbreak then provided feedback and edits on. Then, their team used that script to animate the video. The final product was an animated sales video.

We believe we found them through a Google or LinkedIn search.

We invested around £5,000 (approximately $5,800 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

This project was from July–September 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The video, which we send to potential customers via email, has gotten good feedback from those who have seen it. We’re delighted with how the video turned out. 

How did Screenbreak perform from a project management standpoint?

Screenbreak was very prompt; they delivered by our deadlines. They were very good at driving the project forward. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team was very knowledgeable and listened to what we wanted. They were very professional and delivered on time.

I can’t think of anything they need to improve.

I’d advise customers to interact closely with Screenbreak and be clear about what they want. Ask Screenbreak’s team about their options for a project and utilize their expertise.

Managing Director of an innovation and R&D firm focusing on advanced battery technology for multiple applications.

For what projects/services did your company hire Screenbreak Motion Design & Animation, and what were your goals?

I needed an explainer video to highlight the diverse range of applications of my product range, from vehicle storage to home and large commercial storage.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I look at 3 different companies, took proposals and looked at the quality of their proposals and previous work., Screenbreak stood out above the rest.

I gave Screenbreak a script, along with what i had in mind visually, he too that, worked it up gave me some story board ideas. we refined them and then he went to do what they do best - from concept , through design to delivery including voice-over.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked With Joe . His experience and ability were fantastic. he understood what I wanted and gave ne what I was looking for and more. Joe didn't go off on a tangent as has been my experience of others in the past, He stuck to the brief, provided regular feedback, and was very quick with the turn-around of revisions. Joe was a pleasure to work with.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I used the video on my website for a number of years until i sold my stake in the firm. It was great to be able to send the video via Whatsapp to prospective partners and investors and the feedback was always positive.

There wasn't a formal project process that we followed. The process was collaborative and open with Joe doing what he said he would in the timeframe we both agreed on. One can only do that through experience.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

In a nutshell, their professionalism.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not that I can pinpoint. My only regret is that I haven't had the opportunity to use them again. When That opportunity arises then they will be my first port of call.

Screenbreak has created animated videos for us. Our team has handled the script, while Joe has worked on the storyboard and the animation style. We’ve provided them with the voiceover, and he’s worked that into the videos. They use their own equipment and do the editing in their studio.

We only work with Joe — Screenbreak is a one-man operation.

We met Joe in Dublin, and I knew the caliber of the work he did. For this project, I simply reached out to him, and we chatted about what was needed. He gave me an estimate and we started working.

We started the partnership in January 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The videos have been posted on all of our social media platforms, and our end clients have been happy with the results — the videos have met their expectations. Meanwhile, working with Joe has been great. He’s been easy to deal with, and he knows what needs to be done for the project. 

How did Screenbreak Motion Design & Animation perform from a project management standpoint?

Screenbreak has been excellent in all aspects of project management, including communication sticking to a budget, and meeting deadlines. We communicate through phone calls and emails, and we don’t use any project management software. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Joe’s understanding of our project brief is impressive. On top of that, the animation style they’ve used has been spectacular, bringing our script to life through their storyboarding and final execution.

No, there aren’t any.

We employed Screenbreak to produce a video for one of our medical clients. We needed them to clearly explain the function of a new App that our client was launching for both patients and health care professionals.

We began with the client brief and Screenbreak broke down and explained the whole process for us. Following this they organised the storyboard which was the first stage to be signed off. Next they distilled the content, handled the voice over, created the illustration and produced the final content.

We worked directly with Joe Allen and found him to be very easy and professional to deal with.

Our client was delighted with the work that Screenbreak produced and communicated to us that they would have no hesitation in partnering with them in the future.

The project manager was very easy to deal with and provided us with frequent updates. They asked questions and clarified any queries with us prior to working on the content which save time and made the whole process simple and enjoyable.
