I’m the owner of a wedding photography company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rombus Productions?

I needed video production support from a company I could fully trust because confidentiality is very important in my business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I hired Rombus Productions to make promotional videos about the weddings I cover. These videos are very meticulous because I can’t show any faces of the brides, grooms, or wedding guests. Essentially, I can only feature setup and decorations. However, it’s very difficult to solely share setup and decorations and still make the video look interesting without showing people or emotions.

When we were dealing with a strictly females-only event, my female videographers would cover the event and then provide the footage to Rombus Productions. From there, they’d make the promotional videos of the setup process. When it was a middle or upper-middle-class setting that permitted males, I had Rombus Productions’ team come in and cover the setup process before the guests arrived. This helped immensely because they flew their drone inside the venue’s ballroom. We worked with a mix of indoor and outdoor venues.

What is the team composition?

If a wedding had 1,500 attendees, 3–4 people from Rombus Productions’ team were present to handle the drone, videos, production, and post-production stages. When we covered a small wedding of 600 attendees, Rombus Productions provided two people. In this instance, the post-production stage was not at their office.

The engagement lasted from January–June 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

To be frank, I’m very paranoid about time. I expect things to be delivered on time or early. Rombus Productions was very good at being super punctual, which I loved. They delivered everything in a timely manner.

How did Rombus Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They were absolutely fantastic. I’d ask for minor changes with music selection, and they always addressed them. Rombus Productions was wonderful to work with. Their team understood what we wanted. They made each video different from the other, which isn’t always easy to do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really liked that they treated me as an equal. Rombus Productions was very good at implementing changes and being super punctual. They made everything look different than what was delivered in the past. Their work wasn’t rote or machine-like because they paid attention to every detail.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They were so great that I haven’t tried to find another company. I will be going back to them and giving them another 6–7 months of work.
