Please describe your company and your position there.

I own an online retail store which sells art supplies, tools, and products, as well as educational videos.

For what projects/services did your company hire Rise Visible, and what were your goals?

We were moving from a small, homegrown website with a single product to a much more complicated company, with multiple product lines. We needed to develop branding for the new effort, develop two websites (one for products, the other for streaming videos), and begin an ongoing marketing effort.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with Aunia for about 10 years on other smaller projects, and I had a good sense of her skills. I knew we could work well together and that she had the expertise I needed for this expansion.

Aunia did the following:

• developed two ecommerce sites
• developed branding specs, logos, etc.
• tailored the look and feel of both e-commerce sites to match our branding
• developed social media strategies
• began a regular email newsletter to customers & prospects
• handled all other aspects of ongoing marketing (e.g., special events)

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Aunia was the lead person involved, and another staff member assisted.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our company success exceeded expectations. Video sales for the first year were 250% above our expectations, and we now have an active audience both in social media and via email. I was very pleased with the results - both in terms of how the web sites were presented to customers, but also in marketing results.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our main point of contact were planning meetings, held 2-4 times a month depending on what was happening. Their project manager is very organized and careful with details. They made sure that the things I wanted to happen did happen. She was a great sounding board for my ideas... either supporting them when they were reasonable, and educating me when my ideas were half-baked.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Aunia's background in similar industries and as a business women were essential to our success. She understood our target market and formulated proposals and plans that were appropriate, within our budget, and effective.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Overall there is very little to say. It took a while to work out who was responsible for proofreading, but it was something we were able to improve on together.

I hired to upgrade by website which ultimately became a new website. This new site is now being changed to meet new needs. My goal was initially to establish a new presentation website. Now my goal is to create a more interactive site.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I knew Aunia from the local arts community, her gallery and common ties in local art groups. I asked to see her website design work and asked her questions. I was satisfied with her ability and had built trust from common connections.

Asked to upgrade website, worked together on site and direction, communicating about design, color, font. We used consultations, estimates. We weathered a website hack, and ultimately set up a new site. We made joint decisions about choices for new vendors. We did one on one walkthroughs and was given teachable videos. We worked by phone, zoom and online.

For the website project I worked with Aunia who is the owner of the company.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I am pleased with the responsiveness and caring for my concerns and interests. I like my website and the fact that I can do some of the maintenance using the instructional video.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Initially we used zoom which worked fine. Over the length of the website project, we used email and phone conversations. I feel relaxed and heard in our communications. We are in sync with timeliness. I feel she is responsive to my schedule and needs as my own project deadlines shift.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I like the personal directness and response to my individual needs. I believe Aunia has a deep knowledge which is valuable and trustworthy. I appreciate our interactive communication and problem solving.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At this time I do not have any thing to contribute to this question.

While working with Aunia I leaned on her and trusted her with every single aspect of my rebranding and repositioning of my brand. Aunia is an amazing human whom I am honored to have worked with. She led me through the why’s, the what-if’s and took the time to listen to my desired end state. After listening to my opinions and perspective, she then applied what she learned and was entirely humble through the process.

It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to get to partner and collaborate with someone of Aunia’s character and expertise. To describe the team as a creative genius and talented web designer is just scraping the tip of the iceberg.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

She didn’t push her ideas or her preferred styles on me, she took any feedback I have, she was a true partner. I can’t tell you enough about how wonderful she is in just one recommendation, it would take pages and pages to encapsulate her level of professionalism and expertise.
