I’m the CEO of Organization View. We are data scientists with a heavy focus on tech data for large corporations.

What challenge were you trying to address with REWSOFT?

We needed a survey tool developed.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

REWSOFT developed a customized web application. It runs in real-time on Google Cloud. The 2nd tier can see team data that lower tiers can’t. 

They built the app in Python on Google App Engine as the main technology and used Big Query as a way of inputting data. The team is currently working on building a new app for us.

What is the team composition?

We work with four teammates, including a QA specialist.

How did you come to work with REWSOFT?

I had worked with Slawek (Owner) in the past and had enjoyed the experience.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent $120,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around January 2014, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

REWSOFT always meets milestones. They write quality code and are very flexible. There has never been an issue of a single data point not being right or software not working for the clients. They are also great at making things quickly scalable, and they created an app that was lightweight and non-traditional.

How did REWSOFT perform from a project management standpoint?

The team has always been good regarding timelines and meeting deadlines. They don’t provide a lot of project plans and documentation, but I’d rather have them working on code anyway. We have regular meetings, especially during development. We also communicate via Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

REWSOFT is good at making suggestions to improve the product and to help lower costs in the long run. It feels like they’re an extended part of our team rather than a supplier. They also work well on short notice. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, none that I can think of. As a client, I would always like to have more of their resources available, but I understand that they have to prioritize all their clients.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open to their suggestions, and really listen to the solutions they present. They usually get you to the right place.

I’m the CEO of a SaaS company. We help businesses create forms to improve their processes. This includes forms for registrations, appointments, order forms, etc.

What challenge were you trying to address with REWSOFT?

We needed an external contractor to help us make some important changes to our platform. We needed specific skills in Python and the Google App Engine; initially, we didn’t have anyone in-house to work on the software, as it was just myself and my co-founder.

What was the scope of their involvement?

For the first 2–3 years, we outsourced development completely to REWSOFT. Over time, we’ve built up an in-house team of developers, who began working with REWSOFT’s developers. The software is built in Python and hosted on Google App Engine. The frontend is in Angular. We’re moving toward Python 3 and React.

We now have a team of developers that does all of the development, and REWSOFT serves more as an advisory to changes we might want to make. We run our ideas by them.

What is the team composition?

I work primarily with Slawomir (Owner). He had two engineers working on our project and someone doing QA. Now, we just work with Slawomir.

How did you come to work with REWSOFT?

I found Slawomir on Elance when I was asking for proposals on the project. His proposal was really impressive.

How much have you invested with them?

My company has spent over $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2015, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The software is much more robust than what it was initially. We’ve never had a downtime because the architecture is built properly. We’ve been able to grow our numbers and customers, and we’re able to retain a high percentage of our customers. The impact has been good.

How did REWSOFT perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is really good. They always take their time to clarify what’s supposed to happen at the start of a project. They’re good with timelines; we’ve never fallen behind schedule. If there are changes, they always communicate them ahead of time. We use Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re experienced in building similar systems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were some communication misunderstandings early on, but nothing that was ever critical. Over the last 3–4 years, we’ve not had any more of those.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very open in the initial consultations you have with them. They try to understand both the technical and the business parts of the project. It’s good to have a more holistic approach to the conversation so that the results can be what both parties are happy with.

I’m the owner and manager of an agricultural mapping company.

We wanted to develop a solution so that users could represent their farms and ranches in Google Maps.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us integrate our solution with Google Maps. It’s a Chrome-based web app that’s also available on mobile. There were also some icon design services which they outsourced for us. 

What is the team composition?

Slawomir (Owner) and another employee were my main points of contact. There were several other team members that were involved as well.  

How did you come to work with REWSOFT?

I found them on Elance (now part of UpWork). 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $200,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2015. We’ve launched several versions of the tool since, with our biggest release coming in 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve been great to work with. The team is receptive, honest, and straightforward. We’re growing our customer base and they help us make sure everything is working as it’s supposed to. 

How did REWSOFT perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very responsive. We communicate each morning. I never have issues getting ahold of them despite the time difference. We mostly collaborate through Google Docs and Google Hangouts. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think they’re really talented, especially with navigating the Google platform. 

Are there any areas they could improve?  

Nothing comes to mind right now.

Get your design plan down before you hand it over to the development team.

We required a web-app to complement the mobile app that we built out and REWSOFT possessed the perfect set of skills to complement our technology stack (Nuxt/Vuetify app with Firebase/Firestore backend)

What were your goals for this project?

Complete an MVP to serve as the web-presence (landing page and basic app functionality) for the mobile app.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This was an outstanding collaboration thanks in large part to the great communication/responsiveness of REWSOFT. The technical proficiency and attention to detail provided by the team exceeded all expectations.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Slawek served as point of contact and helped with all aspects of project management. The level of communication and careful consideration (often offering suggestions/options that served the project even better than those originally on the table) were particularly outstanding.

As a small team, they produce outsized results.
