Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We had a server with all of our company's information on it, and a very weak cybersecurity program. We were paying a long time IT freelancer monthly to maintain our services. We also were in the transition between father-to-son, and the son had big ideas for what the tech of the business should be. 

RENIT did a comprehensive evaluation on all of our systems, recommended changes and priced anything out that would be needed to complete their remediation, and got us upgrades and congruenices in the Microsoft suite that saved us money and advanced our capabilities. Since then they have maintained the infrastructure they put in place, meet with us regularly to outline progress, issues, and learn about our company's growth. They have also been partnering with us on custom software that will greatly enhance our ability to perform basic functions proprietary to our business.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Imagine gutting your house and starting over with a new inside a year from now. Is it worth it?  Maybe you can't knock the whole thing down, and the bones are valuable. Who is going to do something like that for a reasonable price at a high level of customer service and quality?

In essence, you are upturning your home life for a period of time in the hopes that your undefined vision will become a reality.  When Kirk (CEO) first spoke to me on our discovery call, he said something about as generic as it is vulnerable and true to form for a genuinely good person. "We want to grow with you". You can't make up these moments when you see a person for who they are, and you will never forget them when you have inevitably have doubts.

We were a four person family owned business, just making end meets and our processes talk through elbow grease and paper notes. Now were a growing six person business with a backend that is turning into something you could see at a billion dollar builder. The most impressive thing about them is that every single person there is cool, nice, and good at their job. I don't know how they got an all star team like that together, but it was a big part in transforming our business. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Renascence IT Consulting could have done differently?

RENIT needs to burst out of the nerd bubble. With all possible respect, and they would say it too. Guys that get deep in tech like that are typically not people people. I am observant and genuine, which is why Kirk and I connected. I could see how pitching their business to new people, or trying to expand their scope of services to existing customers without it sounding like a sales call would be very difficult. I have made a concerted effort to understand their business because of the value it provided to me and my business, and I still feel lost at times. The language we speak as general contractors is different from accountants, lawyers, and IT guys. The more specialized, the harder it is to communicate. When it came to spending money and upgrades, everything was detailed out and clear as day. When I think about what they have done for me, I think about what more they could do, and get lost because I am not knowledgable enough to make suggestions, and they are too coy to tell me what makes sense. They could sell their consulting better by forcing a decision based in more binary terms - think less information diaspora and more potential plan dichotomy.
