The site speed and overall look and feel for the site was a HUGE success, we've received countless compliments on our new branding which I'm sure has helped us increase the number of conversions on our site and create new customers.

The sheer creativity and ability to solve complex design challenges for our project were simply incredible. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Refokus could have done differently?

I think the issue more likes with the tool, Webflow. The capabilities we were asking for were not readily available yet so we were building for a future state that hadn't arrived. Which has caused some complexities in the site that prevent us from updating things without breaking others. The webflow styles is overly finicy and prevents simple changes on the user end. Again not exactly something they can fix but to be aware of

We engaged Refokus to design, build, and deliver Umault's new website built on Webflow. We wanted something new and fun, that would bring the Umault brand to life. The key deliverables were mood boards, wireframes, development and refinement.

I've gotten tons of compliments about the site and the site even won CSSDA Website of the Day. In terms of engagement, our average time on page has almost doubled and we've gotten a steady stream of conversions. So basically, everything we hired Refokus to do, they've done to the highest level!

More details: We had really ambitious website project, with heavy 3d animations and scrollytelling. The first deliverable was to create a Mock based on our ideas of the website and the story. Once we had that and gone through some iterations, Refokus' task was to implement and deploy the website.

Launching the website led to many inbound requests and high-quality leads from both potential customers as well as potential investors! Overall, introducing the website gave us a lot of visibility on linkedIn as the website is so different from what's standard in our sector.

For this project Refokus was tasked with migrating all of our logged out marketing pages from our existing CMS, Prismic, to our new platform, Webflow. All of the copy, content blocks, and page data had to be migrated over to a system that was in sync with our design standards. The key deliverables were:

• A new site on Webflow with organized logged out pages that were fast to edit.
• A content creation system that allowed for speed and fast edits. This included a CMS system where pages would be created with bulk uploads of CSV files.
• Educational documents and clear client documentation to support post-migration training.

Project management was top tier. We had weekly touchbases and constant flow of slacks and emails. Priorities, timelines, and deliverables were communicated weekly. We felt like Refokus was a part of our in-house team.

As with any project of this size, roadblocks tend to appear. Refokus proved to us that they are problem solvers. Throughout our migration there were some technical challenges that we could not have predicted. Instead of looking for a quick cover, they dug into the problem and figured out sustainable solutions that saved our team's long-term hours and hours of work. We felt like we were their only client.

Refokus helped us with a complete (visual) rebranding. To cope with new times in tech, and an outdated website, we worked with Refokus on a new identity and a website that could scale with us in the future. The first step was the visual strategy step. Based on our input and briefing, Refokus suggested a new visual strategy for who we are as an organization. The next step was design production. Together with Refokus, we looked at how we can bring the new brand identity to a new and improved website. The third step was the development of the website and the handover. What had been designed in the second step was now brought to life on a new Webflow instance. Moreover, the handover included training videos for our team, a guide, and several meetings to train us.

I was pleased with how the entire project was managed. Deadlines were clear, realistic, and always met. Communication was open and transparent. We had a very ambitious target for a huge project and we made it in time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive is how Refokus was able to really understand our brand identity and give that a huge improvement. Furthermore, how they were able to translate that to an amazing looking website, that functioned great and is optimized for performance.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Refokus could have done differently?

This was not a dealbreaker, but what wasn't clear to me at the beginning was the cap on 20 unique UI elements. I was under the impression these would be special elements like animations. However, all assets created were included as these elements. So very quickly we used up all 20 and we had to hire an external freelancer to help us with extra designs.

We did a kick-off meeting to discuss our goal for the website. Then we brainstormed with the Refokus team on a couple of ideas for it. Then we decided on one idea and Refokus started to do some wireframes for it. We then validated those wireframes and went into the design and production phases. Everything was very smooth with a shared project management tool and deadlines.

It was a special project and we were looking for a web agency that wanted to be an active partner on the showcase: giving ideas, wanting to promote the showcase, ... And Refokus was the perfect match for this. They loved the idea and committed to the project and made it a success.

Nothing. Refokus did an amazing job on a project that wasn't easy: they were creative, reactive and the project was finished on time and was a great success.

As part of our participation as an exhibitor at the Webflow Conf 2022, an event that is both physical and online, we wanted to replicate the escape game experience of the physical exhibition on an online version.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We already relied on their expertise for a previous project. We were very satisfied with the result and because of their expertise of Webflow and its community, we were confident that they would deliver quality work.

We first told the Refokus team about our physical participation in this physical conference and the fact that we wanted to do something online as well, in a very short time. They immediately showed their enthusiasm and came back to us very quickly with some very good first ideas in the form of videos and Figma models. They even went beyond what we had imagined.

After a common validation of the main idea of the site, they started to work on the functioning of the game which would be the central point of this Webflow site and on its visual identity. After very quick feedback sessions, we easily arrived at a finalized version of the Figma model.

Only a few days later, they came back to us with a first version of the website, including the online game. We gave them our feedback and once again, in a very quick way, they came back to us with a finalized version of the website, very qualitative. We then collaborated to provide the finishing touches and translation of the Webflow site content using the Weglot solution.

About 8/9 people were involved on this project on their side. Their team was composed in equal parts of project managers and developers.

The main result of this site has been a huge impact in terms of brand awareness. Indeed, a large part of the Webflow community, online or the one we met at the physical show, had spent time on this online game. Thanks to the quality of its features and its design, this site has received several awards and mentions in the medias or during the keynote of Webflow, the technology used to develop this site.

Even with a challenging deadline, the Refokus team was very efficient and proactive in achieving a quality result. Their quick response to feedback on Slack and the few calls with several members of their team allowed the project to move forward quickly, efficiently and without a hitch.
