How did you select The Reelists?

We wanted a local and flexible production team. I received a phone call from the Reelists almost instantly following my availability request and they spoke about their strengths, asked the right questions and provided showreels of their work.

Sit down interviews and photography of travel professionals in multiple locations in Dublin. The team of two from the Reelists were tasked with multiple AV and lighting set ups across 3 locations in central Dublin.

We gave a tentative run-down of the 2 day shoot and a list of equipment requests. Over the phone, the team then gave technical recommendations and scheduling suggestions to the point where the planning phase of the prog

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Nothing measurable given then global pandemic, however this type of Video content is a relatively new venture for the brand and will hope to build from the excellent content we created during this shoot.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was great to work with. They helped settle the nerves of some of the on-camera talent and provided direction where needed creating a welcoming atmosphere for the talent to work in.

They solved every minor tech issue without delay and gave great technical recommendations to improve the look of the production.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their on-set adaptability and their personal approach to myself and the client throughout the process.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None... Unless they can somehow control the Irish weather!

The goals were to engage the audience online with key messages. It was vital that the videos were eye catching fro the start and accessible and short.

I had seen The Reelists' work through various campaigns and how effectively they work with clients to get a message across through video. They bring a creative approach and are very professional and friendly to work with.

The Reelists worked with me from start to finish to create the messaging and script for the video based on my campaign. They selected a number of options for locations to shoot the video. They worked to my budget and we shot the whole video in one day. They turned around the edit very quickly and it was really easy to give feedback throughout the process.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

The Reelists made sure the script represented the campaign well and that the locations reflected the campaign. I was able to give feedback at every step on the process.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The campaign video was a great success - the video gained 69k impressions organically on Twitter, 38.9k view and 4k engagements. it was shared 168 times on Twitter. On Facebook, the video reached 79,477 people (14,523 organic and 66,071 paid reach) and had 95 shares as well as 30k views.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

the communication was very easy and there was a lot of opportunity for me to give feedback. The Reelists really listened to what the campaign was about and the goals and tailored the service to our needs.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quick turn around, creativity, skill and professionalism.

No. i would 100% work with The Reelists again.

I'm the director of a research institute that promotes economic development, create employment, and protect the marine environment.

For what projects/services did your company hire The Reelists?

They needed to deliver drone footage at night time of a pilot campaign in the Dublin region which includes production and editing of video taken.

What were your goals for this project?

We primarily hoped for an increased awareness of the ocean and calling people to action to share their own stories and experiences about it. Separately, we also hoped for an increase in traffic to our website and uptick in social media traffic.

How did you select this vendor?

Primarily we were able to see them on an online search, also word of mouth, and finally through a competitive quotation process.

We needed this company to work with another company that was taking video in the west and south of Ireland. All videos need to be edited and stitched together to give a uniform look and feel.

They collaborated with us to produce 2 videos, one slightly longer than the other, and that included some still shots taken from other parts of the country. One was produced very quickly to put out on social media timed to coincide with the events and the second as a compilation and celebration of all that happened over the period.

They were excellent.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Overall our reach for this pilot through social media was 2.4 million people and on the LinkedIn account, we experienced over 2000 views.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was outstanding.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

All video taking was at night during the summer when the dark nighttime hours are at their shortest and so there was a very narrow nighttime window to capture all the imagery (11:30 pm -3:30 am). All licenses and permits also needed to be secured in city areas and anywhere within the airport/flight path vicinities.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The research institute was satisfied with the outcome of The Reelists.

Rubyworks Records is a Dublin based independent record label and management company. I am the Head of Digital Partnerships working with partners globally such as Spotify, YouTube and Apple.

The Reelists were hired to produce and direct an official music video for one of our artists.

What were your goals for this project?

It was to create a fan sourced piece of content that was collated and organized to promote the artist single.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

During the difficult period of COVID-19, we were in contact with the Reelists to talk about any upcoming projects we could work on together while in lockdown. The brief we had for the official video matched a project that the guys wanted to undertake, and so we worked on a treatment suited to our artist.

The process began with sourcing fan content and in doing so involved various terms and conditions and submission forms for fans. The Reelists compiled all necessary paperwork and set up the entire process of submitting the video, taking care of everything.

Once the deadlines had passed and footage was in, the editing process was also completely taken care of by them.

The project management by the company was flawless. From start to finish, they were communicative and made sure we were happy with every step of the process.

The video was used as a promotional tool for the single and has reached views beyond our expectations. The social reach and PR element of the final edit did exactly what we wanted it to do in terms of shares and coverage.

By working with The Reelists, all of the stresses and worries were completely taken care of and made the entire process easy and manageable. The knowledge they had and the wide range of skills from dealing with people of all ages to directing and editing was extremely impressive.

We strive to be on par with the new tech available out there and to implement it online for our customers. Sometimes it is hard to explain how new technology works and The Reelists have been great at helping us capture the essence of each service through video and animations.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to improve our UX and simplify the online shopping experience for our customers by outlining how the process works.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We found them online & liked their portfolio. Had a chat with them, they were open to try something different and had good ideas on how to help us out.

Once we agreed on working together for the first project, which was a video outlining how our AR capability works on the website. They came to one of our stores, so we could film in our showrooms. All in all took about an hour. They added a few steps, text, transitions & music within a week and we were ready to go.

They also provided us with two versions of the video -- one for the site and one for SM. The second and third projects were animations for different services online & offline. We provided them with a brief of what we want, they sent back a storyboard that we reviewed and we were ready to go.

In a month or so we had beautiful animation to use. We provided them with an example of the style of the animation we were looking for and they were able to match it easily.

They provided 2 member crew, a project manager & a designer. Speedy communication & very easy to work with.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had great feedback and engagement on social media for both videos. Our clients really loved the little touches, such as adding a dog to the animation that was also available in the online service.

The communication was quick & easy. We did not have to elaborate much on what we needed and they were able to execute it perfectly within timelines.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It was amazing how quickly they were able to grasp our ideas and to understand our needs, especially when it comes to introducing new technology. During the filming of the first video, they kept on going and re-recording multiple versions just to make sure we have the perfect shot.

Nothing I can think of. They have been great to work with and we plan to utilize their services again in the future.

They take a very active role in managing the process, knowing that we're always too busy to chase our project manage ourselves. I've never once had to chase them or push them on a deadline - it's usually the other way around.

I work for Disney+ which is a streaming service in the Direct to Costumer and International segment of The Walt Disney Company. My position is a Senior Producer but this specific project I am the Supervising Producer for Disney Insider which is an original docuseries on Disney+.

We hire The Reelists to produce a segment of Disney Insider on location in Ireland with the author of the Artemis Fowl book series, Eoin Colfer, to help promote the release of the Artemis Fowl film on Disney+.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to give Disney fans a unique look into the people and places around Ireland that inspired Eoin to write the Artemis Fowl series.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

A cold search lead us to The Reelists. We were able to find them by searching for local Ireland production companies on the web. After speaking with them about the project, we knew that they understood what we were looking to do and we could tell they also had a passion for the story we wanted to put together.

After hiring The Reelists as our local production team, COVID-19 struck the world. Originally we had planned to send a director from the USA to Ireland to work with The Reelists team on the project. This became impossible because of the pandemic so we had to put our complete trust in The Reelists team. The team was able to take our creative direction for the show and run with it. They worked out all of the logistical details for the locations and expertly directed Eoin through the story. Afterwords, the team was able to send us all of the footage along with detailed notes for us to edit together for the show.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

The Reelists had a really efficient workflow for our project. Gemma the producer and Tommy the director were in constant communication with us through development, pre production, production, and delivery ensuring that everything was in place and every box was checked. In addition to communicating over email we had a number of calls. Even with the time change, I never felt like I could not get ahold of them. Also, their team just understood production and knew what we wanted to do from the get go which made things so easy.

The result was a resounding success. The Disney+ team, the Walt Disney Studios team, and Eoin himself all loved how the segment turned out and thought that is was a unique look into the world of Artemis Fowl. Eoin also reported that the production went very smoothly and he had a great time with The Reelists team.

Work between our teams was extremely effective. As I mentioned above, The Reelists team made things very easy for us and they were able to take every curveball we threw at them.

Right from the start they were able to understand exactly what we were trying to achieve. I have worked with a lot of companies over the years and The Reelists really were one of the best when it came to delivering exactly what we were looking for.

Gave brief to company. They expanded on the ideas, finalised scripts and sourced actors. Filmed everything in one day at one of our branches. Videos were edited afterwards for social media and for use on our shop front screens.

We spoke a number of times about the ideas and scripts to them them right. Afterwards there were a few rounds of edits where I worked with the production team to get the videos right.
