Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Managing and Founding Trustee of ARC Foundation. A Responsible Citizen (ARC) Foundation is a Gujarat based NGO committed to contributing towards sustainable development goals as well as empowering the youth to speak up and effect social change.

We are passionate about fostering critical thinking skills and socio-political awareness in today’s youth and promoting greater civic participation. Parallelly, we take up initiatives aiming at environmental conservation and social upliftment of the underprivileged.

For what projects/services did your company hire Redd Experience Design, and what were your goals?

Our website was obsolete and outdated. It was a static website that prevented us from reaching out to people and presenting our work. We were looking to rebrand and redesign our website from our current obsolete one.

How did you select Redd Experience Design and what were the deciding factors?

We had heard a lot of excellent things about Redd and approached them for this project. We also met with a lot of other vendors but none of them matched our needs.

We had pretty high expectations going into the project, but the people at Redd managed to exceed them. Redd understood what ARC Foundation stands for very well, and the work we've been doing. They have an amazing team that worked with us throughout to put the vision of the organisation into the design of the website.

Redd was extremely patient with us and delivered high-quality work. The new website has enabled us to expand our reach and help more people in need.

How many people from the Redd Experience Design team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were five people working with us from the vendor's team, including senior designers, web developer and graphic designers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website can speak for itself. You can see the results yourself at www.arcfoundation.in. We are also especially grateful to Mr Sharan, who offered to do this project pro bono for our NGO. We are thankful we got in touch with Redd and recommend them to anyone with web design needs.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The team was punctual and diligent. They used software like Figma to show us mockup designs. We were assigned a dedicated team to help us communicate with them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They didn't care about the website, but about what we wanted. They took us through the entire development process and made sure that the website portrayed our needs and style

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None.

I am the General Manager - IT of Exide Life Insurance in charge of delivering Enterprise Applications for 200+ branch offices and customer-facing assets for over 1.5 million customers.

We evaluated multiple design agencies in Bangalore and identified Redd as our preferred partner on this CRM project because of the experience they possess.

Redd Experience Design helped develop a superior UI/UX that should help our organization in the long run. The development team engaged with most of our departments over multiple workshops and sessions.

What was the team composition?

We worked with two designers, a lead and the CEO himself.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Too early to share results but the initial response to the design has been good.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team that we worked with is articulate and use tools like Basecamp, Invision, etc. to share designs and artifacts.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The CEO got involved in many brainstorming sessions and brought in a lot of blue-sky thinking. Some of the ideas they had were of immense use.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not one that I can think right now.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I head product development for Digital Banking for India Markets at FIS. FIS is one of the leading financial technology service providers in the world.

For what projects/services did your company hire Redd Experience Design?

UI/UX design of assisted and mobile banking products. 

What were your goals for this project?

Rethink conventional design approach to banking applications with a keen focus on usability and cutting edge design.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

My team went through an elaborate process of assessing various design studios, their previous work and their ability to be creative and think outside of the box. Each of the shortlisted studios did a small POC designed to further assess their ability to move away from conventional designs.

Describe the project in detail.

Discovery sessions followed by wireframes followed by hi-fidelity mockups. We had periodic workshops with domain SMEs from my team, leading up to the final design.

What was the team composition?

This was a fixed price engagement and therefore the team composition was an internal matter at Redd. While we were assigned a single point of contact, the entire team including the founder (at times) were part of the engagement.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The design concepts were excellent and extremely intuitive in both the assisted and mobile apps. The assisted banking app was rolled out to over 5,000 corporate users with very little or no user training required. This was a significant achievement. The mobile banking app design is being extremely well received by the sales teams, as well the clients.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication and collaboration between the teams was extremely effective, and Redd's team ensured there was zero drops in either information or delivery timelines.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to be creative and think outside of the box is quite impressive. Also, their constant focus on getting it right (and not just finishing the project).

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not really. Was very impressed with their team, designs, creativity, commitment, and client focus.

I'm the CTO of Exide Life Insurance. We have 1.5 million customers and operate in 200 cities.

We hired Redd Experience Design to design the UI of a custom CRM system that our branch staff, contact center, and operations team use. 

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to reimagine the technology that connects customers with our staff, enabling them to serve clients better and work more effectively. 

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We searched online, met a few vendors from Bangalore, and chose Redd Experience Design based on their prior work and experience.

They implemented a scalable platform that will sustain our organization for the next 10 years. They have worked with our customer servicing and operations teams to understand how they use our current applications and develop a UI that improves their efficiency.

We work with three UX designers and one project lead.

It's still too early to share an outcome. The project will launch next year.

Their workflow is highly effective. They use Invision to share designs and solicit feedback.

I appreciate the thoughtfulness that their CEO brings to each discussion.

They should build more flexibility into the scope of large UX projects.

I’m the CEO of a nonprofit organization.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd.?

We needed a design agency to develop branding materials and build our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd. built our website using WordPress and were integral to the creation of our brand. The project began with an introductory meeting where we talked them through our organization’s values and contributions to the environment. They conducted an exercise where we listed the top 10 words that come to mind when we think about the company. We then arranged them in order of priority. After getting our whole team to participate in that exercise, we had another conversation with them regarding the structure of the site and the content that would appear on it. Once that was agreed on, they used the information gathered during our meetings to inform their design decisions. They delivered the branding materials first, then built out the website.

What is the team composition?

We worked with their CEO and two designers.

How did you come to work with Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd.?

Their CEO is a known colleague of ours. We looked at some of their previous work and were impressed by it. Hiring them was an easy decision.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent 100,000 Indian rupee (approximately $1,400 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place during August 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our internal stakeholders appreciate both the marketing materials and the new website. Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd. provided deliverables that accurately communicate who we are as a company. They created professional branding designs that are consistent across all platforms.

How did Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

We attended two face-to-face meetings to get the project started properly. Then, we held a web conference where they presented us with branding options. After that, we primarily interacted via email. They communicated relevant information and delivered everything within the agreed upon timeline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They listened to our presentations and got a good sense of who we are as a company. The branding options they delivered encapsulate what we do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They initially provided a website that had little to do with the brand they built for us. Therefore, I’d like to see their web design skills improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clarify the website design in advance and leave room in the project timeline to rework deliverables as needed.

I’m the director at Radiance Medispas, a dermatology and cosmetology clinic in Bangalore. We have a combination of excellent doctors with state of art technology to cater to the unique needs of our clients.

I’ve followed Redd's works over the last few years and loved every project’s outcome. It was a no-brainer to select them.

Redd worked to make our UI/UX better. The main concern was that we only had a clear concept in mind but not a design. That’s where Redd's team worked wonders by showing us a path to take.

One of their UX developers was our point of contact, but over the course of time, another team member joined in.

The new design and UX are amazing, though we don’t have user feedback as it’s too early to comment on it.

As with every project, there are initial hiccups when trying to form an understanding between teams, however, the people at Redd's have been very accommodating.

Their out-of-the-box ideas are noteworthy.

I'm the CEO of Mygram Connect, an enterprise process automation platform with a focus on blue-collar workers.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd.?

They designed the UI/UX for Control Room, our flagship monitoring and evaluation product.

What were your goals for this project?

In our experience, blue-collar workers can require a lot of help from the UX of an app, in terms of cognitive ease and the path of least resistance in terms of adoption.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

It was based on their portfolio.

Describe the project in detail.

The product is a task reporting tool that is used to track and measure implementation efficiency. It's an Android app through which the worker records the completion of tasks and then receives the next available task.

What was the team composition?

There was a lead designer and two UX designers. The team lead took the brief from us and delegated to the others.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The UX has been well received by the client in the ongoing adoption of the product.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was extremely effective. The communication was open and unfiltered, with a lot of freedom to express dissent and debate from both sides.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I appreciate the effort they made to understand the domain we work in, beyond the generic requirements of UI design.

There's nothing specific that I can think of.
