Too early to share results but the initial response to the design has been good.

The team that we worked with is articulate and use tools like Basecamp, Invision, etc. to share designs and artifacts.

The CEO got involved in many brainstorming sessions and brought in a lot of blue-sky thinking. Some of the ideas they had were of immense use.

Rethink conventional design approach to banking applications with a keen focus on usability and cutting edge design.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

My team went through an elaborate process of assessing various design studios, their previous work and their ability to be creative and think outside of the box. Each of the shortlisted studios did a small POC designed to further assess their ability to move away from conventional designs.

Describe the project in detail.

Discovery sessions followed by wireframes followed by hi-fidelity mockups. We had periodic workshops with domain SMEs from my team, leading up to the final design.

What was the team composition?

This was a fixed price engagement and therefore the team composition was an internal matter at Redd. While we were assigned a single point of contact, the entire team including the founder (at times) were part of the engagement.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The design concepts were excellent and extremely intuitive in both the assisted and mobile apps. The assisted banking app was rolled out to over 5,000 corporate users with very little or no user training required. This was a significant achievement. The mobile banking app design is being extremely well received by the sales teams, as well the clients.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication and collaboration between the teams was extremely effective, and Redd's team ensured there was zero drops in either information or delivery timelines.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to be creative and think outside of the box is quite impressive. Also, their constant focus on getting it right (and not just finishing the project).

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not really. Was very impressed with their team, designs, creativity, commitment, and client focus.

We needed a design agency to develop branding materials and build our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd. built our website using WordPress and were integral to the creation of our brand. The project began with an introductory meeting where we talked them through our organization’s values and contributions to the environment. They conducted an exercise where we listed the top 10 words that come to mind when we think about the company. We then arranged them in order of priority. After getting our whole team to participate in that exercise, we had another conversation with them regarding the structure of the site and the content that would appear on it. Once that was agreed on, they used the information gathered during our meetings to inform their design decisions. They delivered the branding materials first, then built out the website.

What is the team composition?

We worked with their CEO and two designers.

How did you come to work with Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd.?

Their CEO is a known colleague of ours. We looked at some of their previous work and were impressed by it. Hiring them was an easy decision.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent 100,000 Indian rupee (approximately $1,400 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place during August 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our internal stakeholders appreciate both the marketing materials and the new website. Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd. provided deliverables that accurately communicate who we are as a company. They created professional branding designs that are consistent across all platforms.

How did Redd Experience Design Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

We attended two face-to-face meetings to get the project started properly. Then, we held a web conference where they presented us with branding options. After that, we primarily interacted via email. They communicated relevant information and delivered everything within the agreed upon timeline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They listened to our presentations and got a good sense of who we are as a company. The branding options they delivered encapsulate what we do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They initially provided a website that had little to do with the brand they built for us. Therefore, I’d like to see their web design skills improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clarify the website design in advance and leave room in the project timeline to rework deliverables as needed.
