They used Teamwork as their project management tool. For biweekly updates, I was communicating with one project manager over Skype. I also reviewed and sent feedbacks directly to the assigned designer and developer.

They also followed basic SEO rules to promote our online presence.

On the home page, products are sorted by popularity, price, and position. Clicking on a thumbnail redirects to the product detail page, where users can compare the product with similarly priced options and preview shipping and tax. After checkout, buyers receive a thank-you message and email with their order ID.

Our goal was to create a project management and collaboration tool for our internal teams to complete tasks more quickly. Using this tool, development teams work together with design, marketing, and IT teams to release high-quality projects. Its core features include projects, Gantt charts, subtasking, comment threads, file sharing, and bug tracking.

Someone in our marketing group recommended them. We asked them to visit our office to discuss the details.

We built the tool for web, Android, and iOS. We developed the web version first. The tool allows users to sign in with a domain or personal email address and create a watchlist to view important project issues. They can also connect with other users and invite them to a project.

Once inside a project, users can manage projects graphically using burndown and Gantt charts. They can create sprints and tasks easily with inline editing, which doesn't require an extra screen to edit information. The notebook feature enables them to create a comment stream for each task or event.

We're excited to work with Rave Infosys on the mobile app development phase. We'll roll out more elements on the tool.

BigCommerce didn’t allow for certain functionalities and customization options that the client was looking to explore. After doing research, the client decided to move with Magento Open Source to save money and improve scalability. The client wanted us to quote him for creating a brand new Magento site, implementing a new design, and transferring all current store information from BigCommerce. Also, the site was running on an older version of analytics ga.js, which they sought to upgrade to the latest gtag.js.

We were assigned a project manager that served as the main point of contact. I didn’t work with the team directly, but it was comprised of one frontend developer, two backend developers, and a QA specialist.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to create a live video streaming mobile application hosted on Brightcove Video Cloud. The user can log in into the app with their Facebook, Instagram, Google, or Twitter account, and then subscribe to their favorite TV channel and make a live 15-second video. The app has virtual coins that you can give to your favorite live streamers. We wanted it to be very well communicated, stick to the project structure, and we were hoping to maintain a friendly working relationship with a hard-working team that's invested in our success.

How did you select this vendor?

Video distribution involves never-ending analysis and improvement, so we wanted to partner with a company for a long-term engagement with the goal to work together to constantly revise and improve. We found a few options through Google and send them the RFP, then selected Rave Infosys.

We have three major components of our mobile application. Live streaming, online TV, and commerce. They worked on all the features we had in mind.

There were five people involved: a project manager, a web developer, a designer, and two mobile developers for Android and iOS.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We haven't launched the app yet, but we can already see that the audio and visual quality outperforms my competitors in our niche market. It looks professional and functions as required, which are my two most important criteria.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The quality of their work speaks for itself. They’re quite attached to the project and give us a really good feeling. It's not just a work for them; they're connected to it. It was very structured and they were honest throughout. They were excellent with timelines and made accurate estimations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The very good communication, adherence to the project structure, and the maintenance of a friendly working relationship. The team works hard and is truly invested in the project and its success.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We ask them for another project based on IoT but they declined and said it wasn’t their specialty. We went to somebody else and found it to be quite difficult. In the end, it was bad for us, but it’s good that they were honest about their limitations.
