Design, development, and launch of the web-page of our organization - Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia from scratch. Our previous webpage had outdated design and uncomfortable navigation and we approached Raccoon Depot which led us through every step of the way - from imagining structure, navigation system, developing design to launch. They also helped with content transition from the old webpage and trained the team to use content managememt system.

the webpage is up. ukrcatholic.org (Ukrainian language version in progress). It has clean design and easy navigation and we have a positive feedback from users. It is ongoing project and I am looking forward to continue working and developing our webpage.

Client websites have been continuously maintained and supported to minimise downtime and ensure a smooth user experience. Successful TYPO3 upgrades were carried out to improve the security and performance of the websites and ensure they are compatible with the latest technologies.

Front-end relaunches were successfully completed, updating and modernising the visual design and usability of the websites. Improved the UX/UI of client websites, resulting in a more intuitive and engaging user experience, potentially contributing to an increase in conversion rates and user retention.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The measurable results of the project that demonstrate progress or success are manifold. Firstly, we have noticed a significant reduction in the downtime of customer sites. Through continuous support and maintenance work, we were able to increase the availability of the sites and minimise downtime. This can be measured in terms of downtime before and after the project.

We have also successfully carried out TYPO3 upgrades. Improvements in site performance, security and compatibility with new technologies are measurable results of these upgrades. By performing front-end relaunches and continuously improving UX/UI, we have achieved a potential improvement in user interaction. This can be tracked through metrics such as page views, time spent on site and conversion rates.

We also collected satisfaction surveys and feedback from users. Positive feedback and increased user satisfaction are further indicators of the project's success. Analysing these measurable results enables us to objectively prove and evaluate the progress and success of the project.

The project management was extremely effective. All items were always delivered on time and the needs were fully understood and realised. Communication was transparent and timely, resulting in the smooth running of the project. In addition, our needs and requirements were responded to quickly and appropriately, resulting in efficient collaboration and successful outcomes. Overall, the project management was excellent and contributed significantly to the success of the project.

What impressed me most about Raccoon Depot was the ability to fully identify with our clients' products. My client operates a substantial TYPO3 installation that's integral to their business. They manage approximately 4,000 products using a custom-built product database crafted by Raccoon Depot. Since TYPO3 doesn't natively support such a product database, we developed a solution with a user-friendly backend to handle the extensive product list. This system has proven its reliability over the past 4 years without any glitches. 
Furthermore, they seamlessly upgraded from TYPO3 8 LTS to TYPO3 11 LTS without encountering problems. I'm genuinely impressed with the dedication and expertise of the Raccoon Depot team.

Our project ARK UKRAINE started in 2016 and since that time we have published numerous books on Ukrainian culture, launched several national music projects but still were "site-less". We tried to work with freelance developers but it was a disaster. So, we decided to cooperate only with a professional IT company this time.

We asked our friends in cultural industries to recommend a company and they showed us several sites – it was Raccoon Depot that we liked the most.

We had a very warm first meeting where we realised that we share the same values and we should choose this company – our intuition proved it right. As we worked during pandemic year most of our meetings were in Zoom.

But Raccoon Depot has a very cosy office in the downtown and we spent a wonderful time working there with a team. The work was very well organised and communicated to people who had no experience in web-development (as we were at the beginning).

We communicated with the project manager Oksana who was very helpful, always in contact, always ready to help and deal with all the challenges even if she had to explain the same things several times to the unexperienced users. She knew better what we needed that we did. Later we were introduced to a designer who helped us with the style (we are arty people, so it was quite a challenge) and led us through all the choices.

Finally our cultural platform has a site which we are proud of. We increased our communication with the audience, made it possible to open our digital collections of art, our e-books for public.

We have started the cooperation with Raccoon Depot in order to change the structure scale and visual appearance of our products. After the main development phase we continue to work on development support and data management and optimization. Other projects such as Webshop development will follow.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have been working with another development company previously in Germany but the respond time took ages as well the cost range was too high for the quality provided, so we’ve started to look for another company with the same or better expertise.

After several mails and online meetings we decided to sign the agreement. Although price seemed to be too high at the beginning but we’ve been happy so far. The timing for each milestone was always appropriate. to our needs.

We had several online sessions to discuss the goal and to see if we inline. We have provided the team with the scheme of our product categories and descriptions. They made good proactive suggestions and redesigned our current product pages based on our mutual agreements. Then they copied the website and created development stages, where necessary changes were done. We had approved the changes.

At the moment, we receive their help with data entry, which includes double checking information and optimizing images. Our redesigned website will be online soon hopefully, waiting on our input though.

Our work was managed by Oksana, who is also a CEO of the company. From the beginning she was always online with their senior back-end developer. I suppose there should have been at least four people to do the main development changes: manager, designer, back-end developer and front-end developer. Later on we were introduced to Olya, who was managing our project and also helping with data maintenance.

The navigation of our products is much easier with the new redesign. Further improvements are in the pipeline. The products are also up to date.

We are working mainly via gmail. We send our requests to emails. Since the response time is quick, there is no need to use any other channels.

At the beginning we had a few online calls to clarify moire complex subjects of the direction of the database for example. It was much easier to go through the first tasks together, while we could brainstorm and share the ideas. After designs were set, we returned back to emails.

We could count on them anytime. The response was always quick and professional. Besides being one of the few Typo3 developers outside of Germany.

Nothing we can think of at current to be honest.

Thie poject was time sensitive, and we needed a partner that was motivated and held a high level of service. We had only a couple of months during the summer/vacation months to finnish the project with new logo and a new website.

How did you select this vendor?

After initial contact with Raccoon and their project manager Oksana, I was completely assures they were the right partner for us. The feeling was there directly and there was no hesitation on our side to go with Raccoon

Initially come up with a logo, colour scheme and profile.. in this stage we were highly involved as we knew quite well what we wanted. It was a quick process with communication back and forth and some skype conferences, but after a couple of tests they came up with exactly what we where looking for.

Step two was the website. Here we aslo discussed with project manager initiall y to identify exactly wha twe were looking for, what modules etc we needed in our site. Once this was detemined, Raccoon made the design of the site... we discussed it and make necessary changes, after all was as we wanted it they started the process of actually programming the site.

Once programing was done we went through it together, saw if there was any changes needing to be done etc, and I we got a good introduction to the back end system, how to use it and add content etc. After we added the content we wanted, Raccoon tested the site, and we went live.

It was a small team... one person from my site, Their project manager Oksana as well as a graphic designer. And then two programmers form their in total producing the site and taking it live.

In all everything went according to plan and my expectations was exceeded. They were very service minded, cared and listened to what I wanted, and made sure they understood me correctly.

We kept the schedule we set for the project and at all time thir project manager kept me up to date on the progress and also came with valuable input. For us the time was an issue as we had a specific date to launch.

We have had very possitive feedback from clients and partners on the new logo as well as the website itself.

As I am in Sweden and Raccoon in Ukraine, most work was over skype. It was effective and and in all very professionally managed.
