I’m the owner of Datso Good Candles. We make candles and home fragrances.

What challenge were you trying to address with Quirky Letters Designs?

I brought on Quirky Letters for web development. I was looking to build a sophisticated e-commerce website for my business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built my website from the ground up, using Wix. I had no idea how I wanted it to look, so my only requirement was for an aesthetically-pleasing interface. Once they delivered the platform, they’ve been responsible for managing the fall rollout of my new candles. They’ve uploaded new pictures, product SKUs, and content to reflect my new offering.

What is the team composition?

I worked with just one teammate.

How did you come to work with Quirky Letters Designs?

I found them through a Facebook group. I was attracted to them because we’re both veterans.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent somewhere around $350 on the website.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began the project in March, and the site was live by April of 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’ve seen more foot traffic since updating the site. I’ve also had a couple of customers who commented on how easy it was to order from it.

How did Quirky Letters Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

They were awesome. They quickly took the project on, and it didn’t look like they had a difficult time, at all. They delivered just what I needed. We typically communicated through email. We had a couple of Zoom calls, as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’d highlight their fast turnaround. If I have a question — even if I think it’s a silly one — they’ll answer within an hour or so. They always get what I need to be done on the same day, which is amazing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would appreciate more Zoom calls. I think email can sometimes lead to miscommunication or confusion, all of which can be cleared up by in-person conversations.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just reach out to them, because I’ve had a great experience.

I’m the CEO of One Funny Momma Productions. We’re a parent company for the Cocoa Brown Collection, a beauty product line, and Cocoa’s Craveables, a CBD baked good line.

What challenge were you trying to address with Quirky Letters Designs?

I hired them to design and develop our website for Cocoa’s Craveables.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

 They built a website to promote our baked goods. They also set up a Shopify account so I was able to take credit cards, Zelle, PayPal, and Cash App. They also designed the site using all the pictures of our baked goods. The site included music, effects, and graphics.

They also demonstrated how to use Shopify and link it to my phone so I get alerts when we have an order.

They continue to add things to the website for us. Whenever I have new baked goods, they’re able to upload that.  

How did you come to work with Quirky Letters Designs?

We met them through a virtual networking event that I host. They participated in that even to promote their company. When we met, I was very excited to work with them.

We spent $380.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2020 and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since the site launched, sales have doubled, if not, tripled. They were able to make the pictures appealing and eye-catching. They gave the site a lot of pop.

How did Quirky Letters Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. I haven’t had any complaints from my users. They’re very helpful because I’m not too tech-savvy, and they’re always available when I have an issue. I can text them about any questions I have on the site.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their accessibility and thoroughness really impressed me. When I’ve built sites with other vendors in the past, I had to hire somebody else when I had an issue because I couldn’t reach them. I really appreciate Quirky Letters Designs because when I’ve had issues on my other sites, they’ve helped me out there as well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I was thoroughly pleased with everything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t hesitate to ask for what you need. Don’t think that any question are any a dumb questions. They’re there to help you.
