Qream developed a great concept and custom coded website to us that get up to 3x the attention compared to our old website.Along the project, Qream created a social media design framework, power point templates, pitch decks, stickers and even a trade fair stand that makes us stand out!

We were in the process of developing our marketplace platform. However, at that point, our expertise focused only on specific areas. We decided to outsource part of the development process to Qream.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Qream’s scope of work is to design our mobile app, which is a marketplace for designers based in the UK. Our main focus is on UI/UX Design, so we’ve conducted exploratory research. From there, we’ve moved on to create mobile screens and dashboards. The team has helped us implement integrations for video chats and blockchain. They also help us on account management.

We work with a project manager, two designers, and a delivery manager. In total, we’ve engaged around five teammates.

The engagement started in April 2023, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Qream is one of the few agencies I know that follow best practices. The mood board, style guide, project book, and informational architecture they’ve created have been super detailed from a UI/UX perspective. Simply put, they work exactly as they are supposed to — something that rarely happens in the design world. 

The team has a great vision for design, and their work has been truly innovative. Their designs are ahead of their time.  

How did Qream perform from a project management standpoint?

Qream is always on schedule, which is important to me. On top of that, they’re extremely meticulous and precise, and their resources ask a lot of questions. 

For tools, we use Jira as the project management tool. We also have shared dashboards to track their work's progress. Additionally, we’ve had two meetings per week — one on Mondays, and one on Tuesdays — where we conduct planning sessions. For urgent things, we usually call them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The way they collect requirements for the design work is amazing.

No, there aren’t any. Everything is okay with them.

Be ready to ask many questions, and know that everything they do has a purpose, so trust them.

As the war started in our homeland, we asked Qream to make us video animation for our patriotic song, that described the current situation from Ukrainian perspective, and therefore to encourage our people stay strong and united against mutual Russian aggression.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I chose this vendor, when our mutual friends from showbiz recommended it to me. I viewed Qream's works, and their style resonated with me a lot

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

First I sent the song to the CEO of Qream - Bohdan. I explained what this song is all about and then described how I would see the final video to it. It was not necessary for me to control all the details; being an artist myself and having a lot of experience working with artists, I noticed that the best results occur when there's much space for creative process.

Therefore I gave the direction where to move, but let the Qream take charge of all the other details, and encouraged them to propose as many of their own creative solutions as possible.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I communicated directly with CEO Bogdan. It was easy to explain my remarks to him, and after each time he showed the progress of the video, I was happy to notice that all my feedback was very well understood and executed. What I also liked about the Qream approach is that very often Bohdan proposed their own creative solutions to the details I couldn't understand how to solve on my own.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After releasing the video into the world I got some attention from other Ukrainian music producers and artists, what led me to new collaborations. One of them is with Milos, who is considered to be one of the greatest producers in the post-soviet space.

Because I communicated directly with CEO - Bohdan, and because we were on the same wavelength, it was quite easy for me just telling him what I wanted in my own words, sometimes even giving him intuitive hints. He neatly delivered my tasks to his animators, because after each milestone I was happy with the results, I received what I asked for. In general all the process of creating video from start to finish went smoothly for me.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their approach to me, and to our mutual work. It seemed to me that Qream was not a vendor but rather a collaborator (in a good sense). During our creative process I discovered that we have very similar values as artists and also as human beings.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would happily make some points for improvement, as I think constructive criticism is the best thing ever one can give in order to make others progress, but I haven't found any yet.
