After they did research, they interviewed our stakeholders and did a series of mock-up designs. After we selected one, QClay started working on the actual design. They also created the logo and selected the color palette. They used Figma as the technology.

We haven’t launched yet; we’re waiting for our management team to finish preparations for this. So far, we’ve shown the design to our stakeholders, and our team was very happy with it; it was a huge success.

Project management was good. QClay stayed on budget and met all deadlines, and their team was also comfortable to work with, so the cooperation went smoothly. We had two meetings with them every week to discuss all the updates and feedback. We used Slack to communicate.

What was the scope of their involvement?

QClay was in charge of our brand identity and our mobile app’s UI/UX design. They started with a discovery phase, focusing on possibilities and success factors regarding the brand's overall design. Their team also analyzed the market and our competitors, doing interviews, research, and more. The whole process lasted about two weeks.

After finishing that part of the project, QClay worked on the UI/UX design and created a landing page for us. They used Figma to show us the design proposals, and the graphic designer worked with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Their project manager was always close to us, describing all the minor details throughout the project. Overall, it was an excellent collaboration; we always trusted the process.

For project management tools, we used Trello. We also used Zoom calls and emails for communication.

For what projects/services did your company hire QClay?

We hired QClay to redesign our entire web application, chrome extension and SaaS dashboard. We needed expertise and help to make our entire product suite to look better and work smoother for better user adoption.

How did you select this vendor?

We received inquiries from many vendors on multiple designer marketplaces, carefully reviewed their portfolios and applications, and interviewed a shortlist of 5 vendors. After multiple meetings with QClay, they were clearly the best fit for us.

First, we had sessions to clarify our goals for redesigning our website/application. QClay did not only listen to what we wanted or thought we wanted but they also made great suggestions. QClay made multiple versions of what we asked for, listened to our feedback and made multiple iterations.

I spoke with their managing partner multiple times to align on goals/milestones and strategy. I spoke with their project manager to further clarify the direction of the projects, and then I also periodically received check-ins from their designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The overall design components far exceeded our expectations, and more importantly, QClay also significantly improved the user experience through their new designs. We also received great feedback from both our internal team members and our community of beta testing users.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between our team and theirs was very efficient and productive. Their responses were extremely prompt and also straightforward. Their team is also very understanding and adaptive to our team members' styles.

QClay's instincts and adaptation to different styles and requests were impressive. It felt like they thought about certain aspects for us and always made the right suggestions and actions.

I’m the CTO of Slow, a health and fitness company. We focus on creating multivitamins with scientifically-developed capsules, which make our product stand out among other supplements. First, we provided them with background information and shared a draft of our existing website. Then, they used Webflow and Figma to design and develop a new website. The QClay team used images and content from our existing website but built 90% of the site from scratch. 

The website features a scrollable storytelling experience for users to access details about our project and our values. QClay hosts the website via their workspace and supports us with maintenance.

We initially planned to spend $6,000–$7,000, but after going through multiple iterations and providing us with maintenance support, the overall cost has come to $10,000.

We started working together in September 2022, and they delivered the final website in December 2022. They still support us from a maintenance perspective.

QClay has upgraded our website and created an immersive experience for our users. Their efforts have enabled us to complete our funding stage. Our marketing team uses the website for promotional purposes and has reported a high volume of beta testers signing up for the project. Overall, we’ve had a successful engagement.

We meet with QClay 1–2 times weekly via Google Meet, depending on the project stage. The team expresses their ideas effectively, and although we’ve gone through multiple iterations, they’re very open to feedback. They’ve made helpful suggestions for things we hadn’t thought of. I’ve been most impressed with their creative direction; the design team has transformed our limited requirements into solid designs. The developers are also highly-skilled.
