We needed something refreshing and modern, so we hired QClay for website design and development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We agreed on a package that included designs, illustrations, motion, and development. The website was built from scratch; we filled out a brief beforehand and then discussed the overall design and direction. QClay also helped us to figure out our brand identity, which included the color scheme and font. 

The website will act as a marketplace where users can put in their own NFTs and produce them. At the same time, these NFTs will be supported by eco-friendly organizations, which will ultimately help the environment. 

 Key technologies included Figma, Adobe After Effects, and Webflow for development.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve had very positive feedback about the website. The team from QClay understood what we wanted, and we were really happy with how things moved along during the project. We plan on working together again for our next project.

The team was organized, met all deadlines, and stayed within the budget. We had biweekly calls and met when necessary. We also communicated through emails and Telegram. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

QClay was flexible, and they helped us to build and refine our ideas. They were responsive to feedback and highly creative.

We were highly satisfied.

We wanted to improve our brand and website design to stand out from the competition.

What was the scope of their involvement?

QClay provided us with branding services; they created our logo and color scheme. During the kickoff phase, QClay did industry research; we had already done user research, and they helped us complement it. The team also helped us create our messaging, brand identity, and brand guidelines.

Additionally, they designed our website’s UI/UX design using Figma and developed the site from scratch using Webflow. QClay added 3D animation to our site using Cinema 4D.

We worked with two designers, two developers, and a project manager from QClay. The project manager was our main point of contact.

We found QClay on Dribbble and really liked their designs, so we chose them for this project.

The project lasted from September–November 2022. QClay will help us with site maintenance in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our internal team loved the new branding — it was exactly what we wanted. QClay delivered everything quickly and on point. Since we’re in the launching stage, we don’t have any metrics yet.

How did QClay perform from a project management standpoint?

Their work was really quick. We communicated via Telegram and had weekly check-in meetings through Google Meet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

QClay’s biggest strength was their creativity; when we found their page on Dribbble, that was the first thing that stood out for us, and we really liked their work on our project. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

If anything, they could have more marketing because I wish we had found them earlier. Aside from that, their work is great.

You should give QClay’s designers the freedom to create; if you do, they can deliver something better than you expect.

Currently, they’re still providing maintenance for our site.

They’ve delivered ahead of schedule and over-delivering to our initial agreements. Regarding tools and communication, we use email, Zoom meetings, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed by their involvement in the project. Moreover, their ability to deliver quality work is outstanding — whatever we ask from them, they do it at the highest level.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on. Working with them has been a great experience without any misunderstandings.

They developed the website from scratch using React Native. They implemented ideal visuals and page interactions, as well as a clean and modern website that represents the identity of our project.

There are still some small details that need to be taken care of, but my whole team loves the website that QClay delivered, especially its visuals.

How did QClay perform from a project management standpoint?

I was expecting the project to be completed in about two months, but they managed to accomplish every aspect of the development in just one and a half months.

We mainly communicated through Zoom and Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We knew exactly what we wanted, and QClay delivered their requirements in the best way possible. We also liked the quality of their deliverables, cost-effective approach, and client-centric service.

The partnership was perfect, so I don't have any constructive feedback.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our basic website was too slow, not optimized, and without any functionality, so they helped us redevelop the whole website from scratch using React.

The website provides users with information about tire types, models, and sizes, with all the descriptions and kinds of tires to choose from based on the requirements. The user can go on the website and find the best-matching option for them and contact our sales team or order the tire directly from the website.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website that QClay Design developed helped reduce the volume of our call center because users could already get all the required information from the website itself. Our engagement on the new website increased by 40%, and the platform became fast and responsive, so users didn't have to wait long.

With the optimal response and visual appeal of the website, users were able to interact with the platform seamlessly.

How did QClay Design perform from a project management standpoint?

The workflow and the whole approach to project management were smooth. I had no problems with communication and the development process, as we had weekly in-person meetings where we discussed all the upcoming events and updates.

We have provided them with the concept illustrations for our game-fi NFT project and gave them the content, and in 2-3 weeks they have already shared the first iteration of the design and we loved it, and by week 5-6 the design was ready and then it took them around 3-4 weeks to get the website developed.

We came up with NFT project idea, and QClay Design has done everything for us - NFT collection, design of the website, development, and smart contracts.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We have found them on Dribbble and liked their works and one of our partners has already worked with them before.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We have started the project with a thorough brainstorming and conceptualization of the concept for Nifty Nafty NFT. After confirming a few versions of the NFT, color palettes, fonts, and other visuals, the team has started working on the actual designs for the landing page.

Four weeks in, the branding and concepts were confirmed and QClay Design has prepared a couple of versions for the landing page, and that's where the main communication happened after a few rounds of iterations the team has nailed the design style for a few sections and could proceed to the designing the rest of the landing page.

So, the landing page was done within 2-3 weeks' time, including a couple of rounds of edits from our end. At the same time, the NFT collection was getting ready together with the smart contract. We had the collection completed (10,000 NFTs) and the website developed in 2-3 months, as we wanted, and we successfully launched at the beginning of 2022.

We have worked directly with the project manager, and depending on the stage of the project there were around 5 to 15 people involved at a time. During the creation of the branding, designing of the NFT collection, and finalization of the landing page design and development - obviously more people were involved and in the later stage, there were 5-6 designers and developers involved.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have managed to successfully attract way more people for the pre-sale of the collection with the help of great art and creative ideas from QClay Design, and we had a much higher outreach at the early stage of the project - more than 60% than we expected. So, we were more than happy and are looking forward to another project with QClay.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is usually tied to communication - and the comms were great - apart from the email, we also had the team group chat on Telegram for IM purposes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It is difficult to tell, but if it was just one thing - then it would be their approach to design in general. Unlike some other studios, they work on the project with the whole team and come up with some truly unique and interesting designs and creative solutions - which to me seemed impossible if it wasn't for them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't complain at all - but they did overkill on the NFT designs - they have sent us way too many great traits for the collection - it took us over a month to decide which to keep and which to remove, so we ended up with 150% more traits than an average 2D NFT collection of 10K NFTs, but that only led to our collection being super-rich.
