Work progress was measured through deliverables in three-week sprints, during which various evolutionary features required by the business were launched. Each Go-Live was preceded by QA and UAT processes to ensure the highest quality of the delivered products.

The project scope focuses on the comprehensive implementation of four storefronts (Flexi MX, Flexi USA, Quirelli, and Capa de Ozono) under a multi-site and headless architecture on SAP Commerce. This approach ensures the total decoupling of the front-end to maximize the aesthetic flexibility of each brand, while centralizing business logic within a single, robust instance. The scope includes the configuration of region-specific catalogs, the integration of international payment gateways, and service orchestration through a composable architecture, ensuring a technological transition free of technical debt and aligned with SAP's Clean Core standards.

Key deliverables consist of the four production stores operating under the headless model, along with technical documentation for the multi-site architecture and Backoffice configuration manuals. A digital ecosystem validated through an SAP Assessment will be delivered, guaranteeing the system's stability, security, and scalability. Finally, optimized source code, executed regression test plans, and a deployment protocol ensuring a zero-rollback launch will be provided, meeting the quality standards and fixed deadlines agreed upon for the Flexi brands.

To measure the fulfillment of the scope, objectives were evaluated through a technical and operational validation framework based on three fundamental pillars: architecture certification via an SAP Assessment (ensuring compliance with Clean Core standards), the successful execution of regression testing with a zero critical error rate, and the production deployment of all four stores under the headless model with zero rollbacks. Furthermore, schedule adherence was measured by meeting milestones on the agreed fixed dates, validating that the multi-site architecture allowed for each brand's aesthetic autonomy without compromising the integrity of the centralized business logic.

Our organization was called Global News Service, and we existed from May 2024 through March 2025. Our mission was to take the best of the China-related content from the U.S. Agency for Global Media Entities, translate it into English or Chinese, and publish it on either of our two sites. We then distributed the content to global news partners.

I was the managing editor and head of the product. We were only a team of five, so I wore a few hats.

We needed help to develop our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pyxis provided development services for us. The team connected us with a design firm that designed the website, and then they built it. Pyxis developed our website and the translation workflow, which was central to our mission. Pyxis was a certified partner of ARC, so they created the website using the ARC framework and leveraged a few different AI models.

The most innovative aspect of the site was the translation workflow. We aimed to distribute this content, so Pyxis built a way for users to easily republish it. There was a button on all of the articles that led users to a simple text and an HTML version of those articles, which made it easy for potential news partners to republish the content.

We worked with a handful of people. On the business side, we worked with Guillermo and Alejandro. On the project management side, we worked with Leonardo and Claudia. The tech lead was Leonardo, and he led a whole tech team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were delighted with Pyxis's work. We had good feedback from our news partners that were about to start using the content. We were very happy with the overall product. Unfortunately, we couldn't gather metrics because our site got shut down after we released it.

How did Pyxis perform from a project management standpoint?

Pyxis met deadlines and stayed on budget. They were good communicators and consistently let us know when something would take longer than anticipated and informed us when timelines changed.

When they had to use more resources than they had originally allocated, we had only a minimal extra charge. Pyxis absorbed most of those costs because they were dedicated to giving us the best possible results. Some things slid in terms of deadlines and resources that were necessary, but the team absorbed most of that and worked through it.

We communicated through weekly calls, an active Slack channel, and ad hoc communication through Slack, email, or calls. We used Jira and Google Docs for ticket management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed by everything regarding Pyxis. They were highly professional, collegial, and collaborative. The team did great work, and we enjoyed working with them and creating this product together.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In the beginning, we overdesigned a little bit. Pyxis thought they could accomplish the ambitious design on tight timelines and with smaller resources. The team could have managed those expectations better in earlier stages. There was a little bit of a disconnect between the ambitions of the design and the resources and time it would take to execute.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don't think we would have done anything differently, so being collaborative with Pyxis, answering their questions as quickly as possible, and being clear with the project's requirements is what worked for us. I would follow that playbook.

They built the architecture from scratch and helped manage the projects. They also did some programming. They helped us with Drupal and Salesforce projects. Pyxis also built a PHP system and a mobile application for iOS and Android devices. They helped us build a customized grant management system, a single sign-on authentication system our teammates could use when logging in, and a point-based incentive system for our constituents, as well as other projects. We maintain and host the products.

Delivered a fully functional POC within the agreed timelines. Managed to create the POC successfully with limited inputs given to them. Delivered all the required architecture, design and other deliverables prompt on time or ahead of time in certain occasions. Documentation they delivered were detailed, easy to follow and user-friendly Their solution will help reduce the technical entry barrier in hosting a node and is expected to improve reach Customised and Open sourced their solution for of the community.

During the POC we communicated via regular Google Meets, and emails. After moving from POC phase to Managed Services phase, we communicate the progress via weekly check-in calls, Telegram and Slack, and use Jira as the ticketing system to manage the sprints.

After this process, we tried to improve our mom&pop execution store. Increasing our Nielsen qualification. But what we really obtained, was a digital tool decentralized and 24/7 open space to interact with our customers, representing 4.3% increase sales in the traditional market.

Was a agile project, structured in 3 different releases. The first release was in 6 months, the other releases were developed in 3 months each. In general terms was a 1-year project. Part time executed in Mexico, development was mainly in Colombia and Uruguay.

They were business-oriented. They didn't just focus on the project but also tried to help the company. The effectiveness of the recommendations, this is only generated by the deep knowledge. And transparency, during the negotiation and even the project execution.
