Pyxis helps a food and beverages company fix all their e-commerce issues using the SAP commerce system. After various project meetings, they've understood all the needs, outlined the scope, and migrated CCV2.
Pyxis has successfully solved all issues and expanded the client's website to over 15 sales offices. The team initially interfaces on Jira and has switched to Azure DevOps to document task history, delays, and issues. Moreover, they always provide valuable recommendations, which impress the client.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I´m the lead of IT Solutions E-Commerce team in Sigma. We sell foods including meat, fish, yogurt, sausages and others.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Pyxis, and what were your goals?
Our website was created on 2018, and it had some failures and issues with the middleware we were using. Since we didn´t have in-house developers who know about SAP Commerce platform, we had to look for a vendor who could provide such services. Beforce knowing Pyxis developers, we worked with some other vendors who tried to help us with those issues, but none of the could repair our problem and the service was not the best. This didn´t happend with Pyxis. From the first assignment we explained to them. They were professional and understanding and helped us quickly get to the root cause of issues.
After that, they helped us with the version upgrade and CCV2 migration, which resulted in a very successful project, and since then, they had been one of our best business partners. They had been helping us with our E-Commerce projects during these years and this has helped us to increase our traffic and use of our platform.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They are SAP Parners and we met them in an SAP Customer event. We decided they were the right partner because of their customer reviews and successful projects.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had some meetings to understand the needs we had back then. When we started the projects, we had a discovery and planning where we defined the tasks, time estimation and deliverables from each task. We have been working using scrum methodology, so we had several iterations in which we included technology and business-related enhancements. The technology has been SAP Commerce Cloud from the beginning.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have worked with 3 solutions architects, 3 or 4 developers, 2 QA and 3 Project Managers.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After fixing our existing issues at that time, we could expand our website to 15 more sales offices. Our website has become more stable and ready to be used by more customers.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had daily stand-ups with their project manager and all the team in which they communicated the tasks that they had been working on. That was the meeting in which they communicated any possible delay or issue to continue with a specific task so that we could work on that. At the beginning of the project, we used Jira for documentation of every history and task, and teams for communication. Then we changed to use Azure Devops for documentation.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We have been working with Pyxis for two years so far, and they had helped us with our projects and always have the best recommendations for our product and also best practice recommendations to be able to have the best results possible.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We had some communication issues with one of their Project Managers, we didn´t felt it was helping or adding value to the team, and since we were working with scrum methology, the PM only helped us during one sprint.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The project scope focuses on the comprehensive implementation of four storefronts (Flexi MX, Flexi USA, Quirelli, and Capa de Ozono) under a multi-site and headless architecture on SAP Commerce. This approach ensures the total decoupling of the front-end to maximize the aesthetic flexibility of each brand, while centralizing business logic within a single, robust instance. The scope includes the configuration of region-specific catalogs, the integration of international payment gateways, and service orchestration through a composable architecture, ensuring a technological transition free of technical debt and aligned with SAP's Clean Core standards.
Key deliverables consist of the four production stores operating under the headless model, along with technical documentation for the multi-site architecture and Backoffice configuration manuals. A digital ecosystem validated through an SAP Assessment will be delivered, guaranteeing the system's stability, security, and scalability. Finally, optimized source code, executed regression test plans, and a deployment protocol ensuring a zero-rollback launch will be provided, meeting the quality standards and fixed deadlines agreed upon for the Flexi brands.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
To measure the fulfillment of the scope, objectives were evaluated through a technical and operational validation framework based on three fundamental pillars: architecture certification via an SAP Assessment (ensuring compliance with Clean Core standards), the successful execution of regression testing with a zero critical error rate, and the production deployment of all four stores under the headless model with zero rollbacks. Furthermore, schedule adherence was measured by meeting milestones on the agreed fixed dates, validating that the multi-site architecture allowed for each brand's aesthetic autonomy without compromising the integrity of the centralized business logic.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The project management provided by Pyxis was pivotal to our success, centered on weekly status updates that ensured full transparency. The team was proactive in identifying latent risks and providing clear mitigation strategies. Furthermore, their continuous feedback helped us optimize our internal processes. A key factor was our team's strict adherence to Pyxis's methodology, which was instrumental in streamlining our timelines and maximizing Project efficiency.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What we value most about our partnership with Pyxis is their technical expertise and mastery of the technology, which provided us with confidence at every stage. However, what truly set them apart was their unwavering commitment and exemplary professional ethics, consistently demonstrating empathy and a positive attitude when facing various challenges. This combination of human touch and technical rigor resulted in a superior quality of deliverables, exceeding our expectations and solidifying Pyxis as a fundamental strategic partner.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Pyxis could have done differently?
As a minor observation for continuous improvement, we noted that the time zone difference with the teams based in Uruguay presented an occasional logistical challenge, primarily regarding meeting schedules. While this did not impact the achievement of technical milestones or project timelines, it did at times limit the overlapping windows for collaborative sessions.

This honesty enabled agile decision-making and reinforced mutual trust at every stage of the process.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Pyxis could have done differently?
However, we identified clear opportunities for improvement within the legal and financial workflows. client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our organization was called Global News Service, and we existed from May 2024 through March 2025. Our mission was to take the best of the China-related content from the U.S. Agency for Global Media Entities, translate it into English or Chinese, and publish it on either of our two sites. We then distributed the content to global news partners.
I was the managing editor and head of the product. We were only a team of five, so I wore a few hats.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Pyxis?
We needed help to develop our website.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Pyxis provided development services for us. The team connected us with a design firm that designed the website, and then they built it. Pyxis developed our website and the translation workflow, which was central to our mission. Pyxis was a certified partner of ARC, so they created the website using the ARC framework and leveraged a few different AI models.
The most innovative aspect of the site was the translation workflow. We aimed to distribute this content, so Pyxis built a way for users to easily republish it. There was a button on all of the articles that led users to a simple text and an HTML version of those articles, which made it easy for potential news partners to republish the content.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a handful of people. On the business side, we worked with Guillermo and Alejandro. On the project management side, we worked with Leonardo and Claudia. The tech lead was Leonardo, and he led a whole tech team.
How did you come to work with Pyxis?
We found Pyxis through a referral from our account managers at ARC.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Pyxis from September 2024 to March 2025.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were delighted with Pyxis's work. We had good feedback from our news partners that were about to start using the content. We were very happy with the overall product. Unfortunately, we couldn't gather metrics because our site got shut down after we released it.
How did Pyxis perform from a project management standpoint?
Pyxis met deadlines and stayed on budget. They were good communicators and consistently let us know when something would take longer than anticipated and informed us when timelines changed.
When they had to use more resources than they had originally allocated, we had only a minimal extra charge. Pyxis absorbed most of those costs because they were dedicated to giving us the best possible results. Some things slid in terms of deadlines and resources that were necessary, but the team absorbed most of that and worked through it.
We communicated through weekly calls, an active Slack channel, and ad hoc communication through Slack, email, or calls. We used Jira and Google Docs for ticket management.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were impressed by everything regarding Pyxis. They were highly professional, collegial, and collaborative. The team did great work, and we enjoyed working with them and creating this product together.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the beginning, we overdesigned a little bit. Pyxis thought they could accomplish the ambitious design on tight timelines and with smaller resources. The team could have managed those expectations better in earlier stages. There was a little bit of a disconnect between the ambitions of the design and the resources and time it would take to execute.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I don't think we would have done anything differently, so being collaborative with Pyxis, answering their questions as quickly as possible, and being clear with the project's requirements is what worked for us. I would follow that playbook.

Pyxis deployed four developers to augment an international direct sales firm's team, which consisted of two other vendors. They used agile methodologies to develop an MVP based on SAP Commerce and Spartacus.
Pyxis helped the client roll out the MVP as scheduled. Their team impressed the client with their transparency, speed, and work quality. They also adapted to the client's process and used the communication tools and roadmap they provided.

Was created a specific APP for the customers (mom & pop stores) with image recognition to review the cooler, which products are there, sodas or not, our brand or other and even in the right place. Sending a suggested order to replenish the products and an alert for the sales guy.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
The first approach was redirected by SAP as a good and confident partner. But when was possible to select other partner or evaluate the performance, was a direct selection, because the performance was outstanding, so we only extend the partnership with Pyxis without evaluation or RFP process.
