Additionally, the team left plentiful documentation inside our entire codebase itself and wrote documentation files for each microservice to describe how the particular microservice works and for what purposes it was created. 

They also left documentation for the whole pipeline of 8 microservices and external services with descriptions of how they communicate with each other, and what the input of this pipeline is, and what the output is for our users (after processing the user’s subscription). 

So, our developers can easily dig into the codebase and fully understand it through reading corresponding documentation files and comments inside the codebase. This is the best part of our pipeline right now in terms of the codebase, and our developers even use it as a standard in their own work.
