Please describe your company and your position there.

We are an escape room company serving major city markets with 20 locations and counting. I am the Brand Manager.

For what projects/services did your company hire Push Focus, and what were your goals?

We wanted to introduce a new product to the digital market that involved extensive video work and a lot of unknowns. We knew that it would be an iterative process and needed someone who could meet the challenge.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We went with Push Focus based on great previous experiences and their willingness to work with us on this weird project.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We started with a meeting and established that this was going to be an ambitious project. Matt and the team stepped up even though it was an inconvenient time for him personally.

They helped us form a production strategy and ran with post-production as we experimented with the content to build the game. We wrapped it up with social content.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with Matt and Ian (possibly others). The feedback process was straightforward and professional. As content was ready, it was organized and shared with our team. We were able to send notes then review updates shortly afterward.

For appropriate videos, they were shared in a way that we could leave notes on timestamps. For simpler batch videos we'd receive dropbox links. This process totally worked for us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Matt and team stuck it out and remained available and professional throughout an ambitious and experimental project that ultimately led to a new product category for us that our customers love.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Early communication was the standard professional email, phone call, zoom meetup, but they remained reachable over text and were always responsive when we needed them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They handle everything in production so that I don't have to think about it. That's really nice and refreshing. They don't sacrifice the quality of work even if a project is weird or a deadline is crazy. Truly a pleasure working with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't think of any issues that weren't a result of shifting sands on our side. We're, admittedly, not the easiest client to work with - we're perfectionists and demand a lot of our contracts so keeping up can be difficult, but we get that. Matt and team do a really good job meeting the challenge.

I’m the director of programs and events for the Nashville Technology Council. We’re a nonprofit membership association that supports growth and development in the Tennessee tech industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire Push Focus Media?

We’ve engaged Push Focus Media to produce videos for several events. The most recent was our annual awards dinner with over 600 attendees and 42 nominees for 14 award categories. Push Focus Media created an intro video and small clips featuring our nominees to run throughout the event.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to take our event to the next level in a way that would engage and energize our guests.

We’ve worked with Matt (Creative Director, Push Focus Media) for over four years and his team always delivers a high-quality product. Push Focus Media is our go-to for any video work we need.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

Push Focus Media first suggested a theme for the event and videos that our staff approved. They created the theme’s look and how it would carry across event elements. 

The team then conceptualized and scripted the co-host intro video. They filmed the video using a green screen and edited it. They also developed, shot, and edited short clips for our 42 nominees and handled all other video elements for the event. 

Since Push Focus Media also was providing onsite event support, they worked with the venue to determine the playback set-up, ensuring flawless timing and a smooth event from start to finish.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Matt served as our primary contact. At every stage, he informed of his intended direction and gave us samples to approve and provide feedback on. He responded quickly to any edits or changes we suggested—even on the day of the event.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Multiple board members and community members wrote to us praising the event; the production value blew them away and the whole evening surpassed their expectations. One of the co-hosts even inquired Push Focus Media to do work for their business.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our workflow was seamless from start to finish. In the early stages, we had a monthly planning meeting to serve as a touchpoint. As the event grew closer, we communicated more frequently via email and sometimes phone and text as needed. Push Focus Media was highly responsive to our inquiries and exceptionally timely in their deliveries.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Push Focus Media took our idea from a vague concept to a fully-executed video production—all within our budget and time constraints. They produced highly creative work that elevated our event while meshing with our theme.
