The Pristine Pro team are responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of the application through manual and automated testing processes. This includes planning, executing, and maintaining test strategies.

The team use Cypress.io to implement and maintain automated end-to-end (E2E) test suites.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The QA team’s work led to measurable product quality and reliability improvements. User reviews improved, and bug-related complaints dropped. Automated testing with Cypress.io covers over 85% of user flows and reduces manual regression time. Weekly progress reports showed consistent progress. Overall, uptime averages over 99.5%, with fewer production incidents and improved stability.

There aren’t any major areas for concern, but like any strong team, they’re always looking for ways to improve. Through regular sprint retrospectives, they consistently identify opportunities to enhance processes and better align with project goals.

I'm the engineering lead of Sphere, a startup that helps companies automate their US sales tax and international VAT/GST obligations.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Pristine Pro to accomplish for Sphere’s tax automation platform?

We hired Pristine Pro to test our tax calculation engine with multiple addresses as inputs across the state of Texas.

Can you describe the scope of work Pristine Pro handled for this project? Please include the main deliverables if you can.

Pristine Pro developed an end-to-end (E2E) test suite that we could use to compare tax calculations for 1,000+ addresses in Texas against the expected tax rates for those respective addresses obtained from the Texas Comptroller tax portal.

We worked with Pristine Pro from November–December 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Pristine Pro delivered the E2E test suite with expected tax rates for 1,000+ addresses in Texas. We found a number of issues that were leading to incorrect tax rates, which we later rectified. After that, around 80% of the failed addresses were succeeding.

How did Pristine Pro perform from a project management standpoint?

Pristine Pro delivered on time. We primarily communicated via Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pristine Pro was very proactive.
