Prioxis handled the full lifecycle of the platform, from requirements through to release on both app stores. It started with in-person requirements sessions with our team, which mattered given the level of detail in how our properties and units are presented. From there they handled design, development, testing and store submission. The app was built in Flutter as a single codebase for iOS and Android, and released on both the App Store and Google Play.
The main features were:

• A single listing of our villas, studios and apartments across our destinations
• Virtual property tours with interior, exterior and lifestyle walkthroughs
• Live unit availability showing available, sold-out and exclusive units
• Property pages covering amenities, floor plans, location benefits and investment information
• An enquiry form where investors submit their budget, preferred unit type and destination
• Admin controls so our team can update listings, attractions and availability ourselves without going back to the developers
• Enquiries from the app go directly into HubSpot, which is the system our sales team already uses, so they no longer arrive as separate emails.

The app runs on Microsoft Azure.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since launching the app, our entire international portfolio now lives in one place that investors can browse from their phones, instead of us sending PDF brochures and availability updates individually by email.
Enquiries from the app go directly into HubSpot, so they reach our sales team in one system rather than scattered across inboxes. Our team can also update listings and availability themselves, without going back to the developers, and we can now present all of our destinations to investors through a single app.

They worked in regular stages with review calls, and we always knew what was being worked on. Changes we raised during the build were handled without the project losing pace.

The project management team was proactive in identifying any potential delays and took steps to ensure that the project stayed on track. Overall, I have been extremely pleased with the level of communication, collaboration, and timeliness demonstrated by them.

Hypeteq Software Solutions assists with software development for us and some of our customers. They augment the staff of two of our customers. I manage the project, and their developer is fully dedicated to our customers in Europe, outsourced from their company in India.

In the past, they placed an iOS developer on our team when I needed one. For this project, we initially provided them with our company's organizational chart and gave them access to our code.

They’ve used .NET and iOS technologies.

There are 6–7 developers from their team.

We began working with them around June 2021, and it's an ongoing partnership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The developers Hypeteq Software Solutions has provided have been excellent. I'm satisfied with their work and haven’t heard any complaints from my team. When a developer is sick, they replace them. 

Their pricing is on the higher side, but their quality is good. 

How did Hypeteq Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their CEO always asks for feedback, and management there is very involved. 

Their communication is good, and they’re very experienced with Jira. We use GitHub for the repository of the code, Jira and Float for project management, and Microsoft Teams for meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like the involvement of their management team. For two projects, they’ve helped with the tendering process and provided pricing for our customers. 

Their developer has worked on the weekends when needed, which is remarkable. We’ve been very late on some projects, and they accepted an extra workload to help us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their price could be better, but the quality is very good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that their two or three managers are involved from the start of the relationship. My only other advice is to contact them and work with at least one of their developers to see the quality for yourself.

We reviewed the strategy for the application together and agreed a technical approach. HypeTeq then conducted a detailed analysis of application designs and the existing API. Once the project began we incorporated HypeTeq's team into our daily standup and sprint pattern. HypeTeq worked with our technical and QA team to deliver the app for testing periodically through the project. Finally a full regression test was performed and any outstanding bugs resolved.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project has been completed successfully and we have created a new version of the app, ready to be launched in the stores. The work has been completed such that the app aligns with the designs provided. Bugs identified during the development phase have been fixed.

We developed a good working process with regular communication and update. The development did take slightly longer than anticipated but the reasons for this were discussed and understood. We used Jira and Bitbucket to manage the development process. HypeTeq were very responsive and available as and when we needed them to be.

We have agreed that more can be done to ensure future phases of work start with greater definition around the design and integration through APIs. This will help ensure the HypeTeq team are able to work more independently and efficiently.
