Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We have worked with the Pragnakalp team to create a web app from initial concept to MVP launch over the course of the work engagement. The objectives were to 

1. integrate the brand element functionality (using the GPT-3 and GPT-4 API) into various user services, 
2. build and incorporate the user entered data into a prompt to create customized user outputs, and 
3. develop and test a customized fine tuning large language model. 

The infrastructure required to build the web app was also included in the scope of work so that the wireframe we provide can be quickly developed into a set of sprints. Our fine-tuned training data set provided a unique basis to transform user-provided unstructured text into insights valuable for the users. This text is used as the prompt to run a script through the foundational LLM APIs to output several options. 

The web app allows for multi-user and multi-account capabilities for collaboration on their personalized output. This have allowed users to choose their preferred option, store that in a db table, and recall the record to use as a prompt that will generate successive copies. A “Successive” copy gives users the content needed for other generative AI-powered output, such as providing elements of a Google Ad campaign (for example).

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

For each sprint, we provided a list of expected outcomes, which we used as a checklist against progress and success.

We have weekly standing meetings via virtual video calls to discuss progress against the sprint doc, reviewed questions around each requirement, and summarized progress for the week. We use Trello as our sprint management, bug tracking, and new features list. 

Pragnakalp has been very organized and prepared for each call so that no time is wasted. They provided followup questions and responded to our queries in a timely manner. There have been no instances where they were not prepared and always offered collaborative discussions on technical approaches and challenges.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have worked with dozens of remote teams from various regions around the world. Our experience with Pragnakalp Techlabs has been at the highest level of communication, quality, and collaboration. The most impressive aspect of their team is their knowledge and understanding of the A.I. technologies, in a specialty that is changing quickly. They research and understand the interactions between various complex systems that require the integration of technologies. 

Moreover, due to the quick changing nature of the industry, requirements may be improved and changed that the clients may not realize will impact the quality when initially documented. We appreciate that they are not "order takers", but true partners in realizing our vision. They make it our shared vision to succeed, and that is a difficult trat to find in a partnership.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pragnakalp Techlabs could have done differently?

It is not an exaggeration to say that we cannot find any areas for improvement for Pragnakalp. We have worked with many teams in the past, and we can be honest and objective in saying that we would not have the collaboration and team work be any different with Pragnakalp.

I'm the app administrator at a U.S. based 501-c3 nonprofit. We focus on digital technologies and help people on the path to their spiritual awakening.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pragnakalp Techlabs?

We created a chatbot on Facebook Messenger to interact with people when they have an upset, to help them look at the underlying thoughts and beliefs. We built a chatbot and thought that they needed it to have a natural language processing component, which wasn't available on the platform we set it up on. We were looking for someone to integrate the chatbot with Dialogueflow, which is a natural language processing software.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked with our developer to integrate natural language processing and AI to our chatbot. In a separate project, we wanted a similar chatbot that would be used with things like Google Home and Alexa. They were able to build an action on google home for us to fill that need. 

What is the team composition?

I had one main point of contact, but also had contact with a couple of other programmers.

How did you come to work with Pragnakalp Techlabs?

Our main point of contact had written an article on how to make chatbots more intuitive, and I found it to be very helpful. The way they explained the technology in a simple way was great.

How much have you invested with them?    

We've invested approximately $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've gotten great feedback from users of our chatbot. We monitored it from their perspective, and it felt like we were actually talking to a person. We constantly get unsolicited testimonials of how helpful the chatbot has been and how it helped users move from some sort of an upset. Additionally, we were mentioned in a WIRED article, that discussed how much they were helped by the chatbot. That's all thanks Pragnakalp Techlabs in making the chatbot as user-friendly as possible.

How did Pragnakalp Techlabs perform from a project management standpoint?

On a scale of one to five, they were a five; they always got back to me when I had a question or if there was a problem.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're able to explain in layman's terms what's happening behind the scenes that makes a chatbot more intuitive. In my communications with them in building up the natural language, they were fully capable of explaining what they needed to do, so I could explain it to my organization. They were always able to explain things quickly, in a way that I could understand. Aside from that aspect, they're able to take ideas and find the technology to really make it happen for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They're based in India, so sometimes the internet connection isn't always great. It could be from our side, but that call quality proved to be a huge challenge.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to be clear on what your vision is and know where you're at, as well as where you want to be. Outline it, and they'll be able to find the right tools to make your dream happen. Don't limit your ideas, they have a unique way of looking outside the box and building new technologies that you want.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pragnakalp Techlabs built an application from scratch that provides AI technologies—like natural language processing and mobile chatbots—to other businesses. We did the wireframing upfront. Now our teams are working on using the data that the app generates to improve its features and customer experience.

I did some research and found that they had the expertise I was looking for to build out this application.

The project started in March 2019 and is ongoing.

Pragnakalp Techlabs helped us build an application that we knew was going to be very difficult. They’ve been supportive in finding solutions to the problems we face and delivering a viable product.

We receive daily updates on all their work. We communicate via email, Skype, Slack, Jira, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mittal is a straightforward person who provides honest and reliable work. He’s a problem solver who finds ways to address the challenges we face.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so. They’re an accurate company to work with.

Any advice for potential customers?

Anyone who works with Mittal should make the time for regular phone calls. Pragnakalp Techlabs communicates very well over email and Slack, but phone calls keep everyone on the same page and the project moving forward. I speak with Mittal 1–2 a week. It keeps us all on track with everything he’s doing to make sure the project is successful.

We had a proprietary algorithm developed for our technology assisted review platform. We were having issues with scalability and reliability as well as finding reliable dev's to maintain it. We engaged Pragnakalp to improve the algorithm and bring continuity to our dev team in this area.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our algorithm went from daily breakdowns to becoming reliable for its output in excess of 99% of the time as well as a speed increase of at least 4x.

We communicate with the team 5 to 6 days per week. They provide me with daily updates as well as regular sessions to review functionality.

Communication. I can pick up the phone or hit them up on Slack almost 24 hours a day and certainly whenever I need it.

For us, it would be good to have more coverage during US hours. We are working our way toward this.
