Zango operates a real estate listing portal. My role is that of the CTO.

For what projects/services did your company hire Portal Ventures, and what were your goals?

Zango required SEO and SEM expertise that we didn't have internally to take our new platform to market and grow audience share in a highly competitive market.

How did you select Portal Ventures and what were the deciding factors?

Portal Ventures were recommended by a friend after some initial investigation on our options. After meeting with the team at Portal Ventures and listening to how they werfe going to help Zango grow based on working on similar platforms we proceeded.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Natural traffic to the platform has increased substantially snce implementing recommendations from the SEO reviews that were conducted. SEM effectiveness has been increased considerably, with full transparency of what the Portal Ventures team were doing, and the team were always available to answer our questions.

Portal Ventures provide monthly reports both in written and verbal form. The Portal Ventures team were always available via Slack and phone. Style was formal (for reports, in that they are delivered on a regular time each month) and nicely informal for anything else we required.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Portal Ventures match the culture of our team, and never feel like working with an external organisation. They are always just a phone call away, and will visit the team personally whenever they are in our part of the world.

We were looking for a project that would serve us not only to reinforce our presence and our brand but also a vehicle to generate future additional revenue streams.

We came from working with a technology partner whose legacy and lack of vision was preventing us from growing in traffic and relevance and was going to put a burden on the product roadmap.

We needed a flexible and dynamic solution that would allow us to grow in an innovative way and without stopping our service

Market benchmark and research. Design and layout. UX/UI analysis. Migration of 20.000+ editorial posts without losing traffic from a complete different platform to a PHP framework. Top level SEO analysis and practice plus implementation.

New business models proposition. Agressive and challenging product roadmap to easily scale up in the medium run

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

5 members who seemed to be 24x7 uber-connected. The closeness of the CEO was remarkable and it does explain that they, all the team, take all projects very seriously.

It is important to mention that our project was developed along with them with a completely different time zone and although it could have been perceived as one of the main challenges at the beginning, It worked awesomely well, incredibly soft.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Still recovering part of the traffic we used to have but growing very fast thank to Portal Venture´s expertise in SEO. We have improved engagement in all aspects thank to the new user experience implemented by Portal Ventures.

They were incredibly innovative offering tools to let us work in a very fast and collaborative way reducing noise and extra costs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They involvement of each and every member of the team. They make you feel constantly backed up and sometimes you feel your inner team is much bigger thanks to their close involvement and implication. They are definitely top-notch professionals.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly, it is very difficult to mention any area of improvement at least based on my experience with them.
