Three workstreams in parallel.
SEO: A full technical rebuild — crawl, indexation, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data (Product, Offer, BreadcrumbList) across the catalogue. New keyword research mapped to commercial intent and product margin. Eleven new category-level landing pages built around transactional intent. Existing meta titles and descriptions standardised against a tested CTR template. A deliberate off-page programme — digital PR and expert contributions, no rented links.
AI search visibility: Schema markup hardening, llms.txt setup, entity work to make our brand legible to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini. They also helped us produce a small set of citable, evergreen reference articles that AI engines could pull from.
Google Ads: parallel optimisation of the paid account as a live A/B test for SEO targeting — they used our existing paid conversion data to validate which keywords were actually commercially valuable before betting SEO effort on them. This shortened our learning cycle from months to weeks.

Monthly revenue from organic up 365% – Organic clicks up 230% (1,030 → 3,430 per month) – Organic conversion rate up 59% (1.45% → 2.30%) – Average ranking position improved 46% (41.6 → 22.3) – More than 100 keywords now ranking in the top three for the first time On the AI side, we now appear in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini answers for several category-level queries we previously had no presence for — the kind of "best LED suppliers in Europe" or "where to buy [product] online" prompts that didn't even exist as a measurable channel a year ago. On Google Ads, the work cut wasted spend without reducing revenue, because the validation loop with SEO meant we stopped bidding on keywords that didn't actually convert. The blended cost per acquisition is meaningfully lower.

Weekly working sessions rather than monthly status updates. Decisions documented in a shared backlog we both had access to — no chasing on Slack to find out what was happening. They pushed back on assumptions we had about our own business that nobody had previously questioned, and were comfortable saying "we don't think that's a good idea" when we suggested things. They also did the unglamorous engineering work — the technical SEO, the schema, the AI visibility plumbing — properly, instead of skipping straight to content like most agencies. The combination of strategic challenge and technical depth is rare.
Are there any areas for improvement or something pmax Online S.L. could have done differently?
Honestly, the only thing I'd flag is that the pace of the technical SEO work in the first six weeks was deliberately slow — they wanted the foundations right before launching content. With hindsight that was the correct call, but at the time we were impatient and would have appreciated a clearer week-by-week roadmap up front to manage our own expectations.
