I hired Plexteq to create complex linux shell script to automate deployment of open source softwares

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After a quick interview I was confident that plexteq had the skills required to the project

I made a screensharing with Plexteq team to explain what was required and provided few samples of work already done. Plexteq helped to create custom deployment scripts for 50 open source applications on our platform

Alex Moskvin did a great job as project managed, we where also in contact with 2 devops from their team

All the requested task where completed, we are quite happy with the outcome

Very effective communication over slack / phone

They had a lot of skills related to Linux, Bash, and Open Source.

English level could be better, but skills are more important ;)

- For optimizing the control of our GCP Infrastructure (Servers, Queues, Databases) - For the maintenance of our all our Cloud infrastructure.

Guarantee a high SLA and uptime of our web services.

How did you select this vendor?

Because of their obvious excellent knowledge of infrastructures and development and also because that proposed a real plan that was clear.

Describe the project in detail.

We have a SaaS application that consumes a lot of compute resources on Google Compute Engine. The architecture was maintained by developers. Many time servers went down and our developers had issues restarting it. We needed a vendor that is knowledgeable and can intervene quickly.

What was the team composition?

Devops and Sysops.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since Plexteq audited our Cloud infrastructure, reorganized it, optimized the interractions between our application and our servers. Thanks to them we cut 30% of our infrastrucre costs and more than doubled its performance.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Pretty effective. Very responsive and quick to solve problems.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their team spirit is most impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think that their sales process could be improved. So before starrting with this company, make sure you have set all the contract and statements of work.
