Project Management & Responsiveness:

Pixel’s project management left much to be desired. Deadlines were vague and frequently pushed without proactive updates. There was no clear timeline or structured process guiding the project, which created confusion and slowed momentum. Important onboarding details—like platform compatibility and domain ownership—were never addressed until far too late in the process. When I voiced concerns or requested revisions, responses were often delayed or dismissive, and at times I felt my input was minimized rather than valued. Overall, their lack of organization and responsiveness made the experience stressful and inefficient.

Areas for Improvement:

Pixel Genesys LLC could greatly improve by establishing a more structured and client-focused onboarding process. Asking foundational questions early—such as domain ownership, hosting preferences, and desired functionality—would have prevented major setbacks later. Clear timelines, milestone check-ins, and transparent project tracking would help manage expectations and build trust. Additionally, their team would benefit from stronger client communication skills. Feedback should be met with openness and professionalism, not defensiveness. A service business thrives on collaboration, and unfortunately, that was lacking throughout this engagement.

This was our first time doing anything like this, so the process was not something we were familiar with. They made the process very easy and walked us through the whole thing.

There were times where better clarification could have been beneficial when making changes, however, it could have been the fact that we as clients were not fully understanding what exactly the progression of certain things were, so when we would explain something, it was dfficult for us to find the correct verbiage, leading to a bit of confusion. However, they did right all of the glitches or miscommunications.

The infrastructure for two distinct chatbot modes—exam prep and troubleshooting—has been built, tested internally, and is functioning as expected.
DEP/EPA-Based Content Upload in Progress:
Over 1,000 study and process-related questions and answers have been curated and partially integrated, with tagging and AI mapping underway.
Custom User Interface Designed and Approved:
A clean, mobile-friendly UI with character branding (Randy the Raccoon) has been developed and is ready for final deployment.
Back-End Architecture Built for Scale:
Pixel Genesys has completed the scalable back-end infrastructure to support future analytics, user data tracking, and performance reporting.

What truly set Alex apart was his ability to balance professionalism with creativity—he didn’t just manage the process; he contributed great ideas that helped shape the final product. He was quick to understand our needs, pivot when necessary, and keep the entire team aligned and on track.

Pixel Genesys has been a great partner throughout this project, and any areas for improvement are relatively minor in the big picture. One opportunity would be even earlier alignment on long-term vision and monetization strategy—especially with a product that bridges education and field support like Randy.ai.

At times, we were building fast and refining as we went (which is part of any startup-style project), but having a strategic roadmap session early on might have saved a few back-and-forths later. That said, they were always receptive, quick to adjust, and willing to grow with us.
