Pixel Genesys LLC

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the CEO of a home services company, this is our new company. We provide handyman services onsite and online, community discussion sections, and a tools marketplace, all in our app.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Pixel Genesys LLC to accomplish for EZHANDY?

We hired them to build a mobile app.

SOLUTION

Can you describe the scope of work Pixel Genesys LLC handled for your project? Please include the main deliverables if you can.

Pixel Genesys LLC has handled the design and development of our EZHANDY handyman services platform. The scope includes developing the customer-facing and handyman-side mobile app and web platform, allowing customers to explore handyman services and request assistance while professionals can manage their service-related activities. The team has worked on UI/UX design, front- and backend development, database integration, and core functionality to support the platform's operations. Key deliverables include the mobile application, the handyman web interface, and the supporting backend infrastructure.

What is the team composition?

Our point of contact is a project manager and the team also joins in meeting if needed.

How did you come to work with Pixel Genesys LLC?

We found them through an online search. They had high ratings, their pricing fit our budget, they offered good value for the cost, and their company values aligned with ours.

How much have you invested in them?

We've spent around $10,000–$49,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2025, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project is almost complete. We're doing some tweaks according to the feedback we received from closed testing. Everyone who uses the app likes it, and it's developed as I wanted. Around 25 people with different backgrounds have tested it, and they rated it good. The app is performing well; only some working and package amount changes have been suggested. We're still testing some things, and the tech team is dealing with load testing.

How did Pixel Genesys LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

It's been a lengthy project. We've added many new features, which made our app a one-stop solution and increased the time needed. However, the project manager has handled it professionally and taken it forward with a strategy that has saved us some time. We communicate through virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

They help us in the process. I don't feel that I'm alone or new to this. They keep me updated throughout the process, although being online isn't my thing. This is my first experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'm a people person, so I always want the full team to be in the meeting. However, they haven't been able to accommodate it. They say that the project manager is the only necessary team member, and the others only join occasionally.

I had an extremely outdated and underused author web site. It was past time for a complete refresh. My experience with Pixel Genesys was completely satisfying at every step. Initial contact was with Will Adams, who took an insightful assessment of my needs and welcomed me to the process. My web designer, Alex, was thorough, professional, and highly collaborative. He worked with me at every step in the process to produce a new web site that not only served my needs but anticipated future needs in my niche of the writing/publishing industry. He listened carefully, problem-solved, and came up with a product that exceeded my expectations. My new web site is clear, colorful, and appealing. I heartily recommend Pixel Genesys for all your web design needs!

I hired Pixel Genesys to create a website that reflected my brand and was a community for my clients. I needed to website to be a space where clients could book and submit payments.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was never delivered to me.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Project Management & Responsiveness:

Pixel’s project management left much to be desired. Deadlines were vague and frequently pushed without proactive updates. There was no clear timeline or structured process guiding the project, which created confusion and slowed momentum. Important onboarding details—like platform compatibility and domain ownership—were never addressed until far too late in the process. When I voiced concerns or requested revisions, responses were often delayed or dismissive, and at times I felt my input was minimized rather than valued. Overall, their lack of organization and responsiveness made the experience stressful and inefficient.

What was your primary form of communication with Pixel Genesys LLC?

Email or Messaging App

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Nothing.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pixel Genesys LLC could have done differently?

Areas for Improvement:

Pixel Genesys LLC could greatly improve by establishing a more structured and client-focused onboarding process. Asking foundational questions early—such as domain ownership, hosting preferences, and desired functionality—would have prevented major setbacks later. Clear timelines, milestone check-ins, and transparent project tracking would help manage expectations and build trust. Additionally, their team would benefit from stronger client communication skills. Feedback should be met with openness and professionalism, not defensiveness. A service business thrives on collaboration, and unfortunately, that was lacking throughout this engagement.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Project Management – Pixel Genesys

Alex served as our project manager, and his leadership was a key factor in the success of the Randy.ai development. He was incredibly organized, consistently communicative, and brought structure to every phase of the project.

What truly set Alex apart was his ability to balance professionalism with creativity—he didn’t just manage the process; he contributed great ideas that helped shape the final product. He was quick to understand our needs, pivot when necessary, and keep the entire team aligned and on track.

By the end of the project, Alex didn’t feel like just a project manager—he felt like an extension of our team, and frankly, part of the family.

What was your primary form of communication with Pixel Genesys LLC?

Virtual Meeting

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What stood out most about Pixel Genesys was their ability to blend technical execution with creative insight. They didn’t just build what we asked for—they thought critically about how users would experience Randy.ai and offered ideas that elevated the product. Their team brought structure without stifling innovation, and their collaborative spirit made the process genuinely enjoyable.

It’s rare to find a development team that listens this well, adapts this fast, and still brings their own thoughtful perspective to the table. They truly got what we were building—and that made all the difference.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pixel Genesys LLC could have done differently?

Pixel Genesys has been a great partner throughout this project, and any areas for improvement are relatively minor in the big picture. One opportunity would be even earlier alignment on long-term vision and monetization strategy—especially with a product that bridges education and field support like Randy.ai.

At times, we were building fast and refining as we went (which is part of any startup-style project), but having a strategic roadmap session early on might have saved a few back-and-forths later. That said, they were always receptive, quick to adjust, and willing to grow with us.
