Through a recommendation. I was also impressed by their design portfolio and the price.

There was a detailed initial discussion with Pithy to assess my business and aims of the project. The look and feel of the leaflet were discussed in relation to my audience and the tone I wanted to achieve. All of the main points discussed were reiterated in an email which I approved before heading into the design stage. Some helpful guidance in content production was sent over to me which was very useful before I submitted my content.

I sent over the images and copy to the agency. A strong design concept was quickly created and sent back to me. Copywriting support was also given as part of the service which was hugely beneficial and it vastly improved the content I had supplied originally. I gave my feedback which was quickly turned around. There was minimal changes. I approved the final proof and it was sent to print. Pity were also helpful in organising a recommended printer.

It is too early to give actual results but I am very extremely happy with the overall service provided by Pithy from initial discussion, design concept, copy shaping, right through to the printing stage. Alex was professional, efficient and provided an excellent design at a competitive rate.

Very effective. Communication was swift and the design was delivered on schedule. Every detail was covered in clear communications between myself and Alex.

Initially, we held a series of discovery calls with Pithy Studios, during which we provided a written brief and some sample logos that we liked and disliked to give them a better understanding of our brand and how we wanted our logo to look. From there, their team proceeded with the work and came back to us with different designs to choose from. They also helped us come up with marketing ideas and names for the business.

I'm the head of business operations for a small consultancy firm focused on personal and organizational development services.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pithy Studios?

We have a couple of events coming up, so we needed help with creating a banner, some pamphlets, and some digital ads to promote the event. However, we didn’t have the expertise within the team to create those assets, so we approached Pithy Studios.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Pithy Studios helped us define the brief and understand what we wanted. During the discovery process, we provided them with our previous creative assets, links to some of our typical designs on our website, sample documents, and our color palette. Their team has already delivered the creative assets as both PDF files and Adobe Illustrator design templates so that we can reuse them and edit them moving forward.

Given that we need the pamphlets and the banner printed, Pithy Studios has helped us quote different versions for the creative assets they’ve designed, especially the pamphlets. They’ve given us various options for the type of paper and the print quality, and we’ve selected to print in recycled paper. Although that paper will cost us more, we’ve decided to do this because it’s more in line with our company’s social values and programs. Moving forward, Pithy Studios will provide us with graphic design support for our continuous needs.

A friend of mine worked with Pithy Studios in the past and recommended them for their great value and service. I had worked with other service providers in 2022 but didn’t get the results I expected, both in terms of quality and timeframes. Thus, when my friend recommended Pithy Studios, I decided to give them a try — I’m now very happy I did.

Although I originally contacted Pithy Studios in November 2022, we started working together in January 2023, and our engagement is ongoing. This project is now completed, but we’re looking to have a long-term relationship with them.

Pithy Studios has provided us with a fantastic and helpful service; I’m very satisfied. Their team has helped me communicate what I wanted, and they’ve delivered on that vision, so I would give them perfect scores.

Pithy Studios' designs have been exactly what we expected, so we’re very happy with the banner, pamphlets, and digital ads that they’ve created. We can edit these assets for other purposes, which makes them very useful as well — that’s exactly what we need as a growing business. Additionally, they’ve gone above and beyond in not only providing us with printing services but also in giving us various options to choose from in that regard.

How did Pithy Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

During the discovery process, I probably didn’t communicate very well. Still, they did a fantastic job of helping me understand what I really wanted and effectively developing a brief. Additionally, we had time constraints due to the event’s date, but their team has been able to deliver on short notice.

Alex is incredibly helpful, and his customer service has been exemplary. Although I haven’t been the easiest client to deal with because I don’t have graphic design expertise, he has guided me throughout the process. He also has been very helpful in talking about their approach, what they need from me, and the next steps.

Throughout the project, Pithy Studios has kept us consistently up to date. We have regular check-ins and updates via Google Meet to see where the project is at and how it is progressing. Overall, their project management has been fantastic.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of Pithy Studios' work is impressive. They did the pamphlets right on the first try, so we didn’t have any changes. Additionally, they’ve been able to give us a variety of options and create templates very quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything Pithy Studios could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be honest and share with them what you’re looking for. Spend time with them initially because they’ll help you get the outcomes you’re looking for, even if you’re not well aware of what you want. If you decide to work with them, you’ll be in good hands.

The assets were provided in multiple formats, ready for use in both Xcode and Android Studio, making implementation very easy.

The designer was easy to communicate with and quickly responded to any queries and edits we needed. We had video calls where necessary and communicated through email for sharing feedback and assets. Everything was delivered on time.

We were very impressed with both designs that were put forward by Pithy as the delivered branding was unique and thoughtful. We have worked with other agencies in the past but will be exclusively using Pithy where relevant in the future.

Pithy delivers top-notch graphics, and we don't need to change anything. They also come up with great input but always check with us if their ideas are suitable. During the creation of the White Paper, I had close contact with Pithy's team, and they sent me constant updates on the progress. Any requests were seamlessly accommodated by the team.

We have a great system via Trello that works perfectly. It's easy to understand, and we can check the status of the tasks live.

After our initial meeting, we collaborated on the type of content we wanted to bring to our social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn). We spoke about the company being in 3 different markets which meant that there were translated post that we needed creating ( we provided the translations), Pithy studios were more than happy to do.

Pithy Studios captured what we wanted to create in our designs, bringing them to life. The result of this had our social channels gained more attraction and engagement. We often had comments internally sharing their enthusiasm for how great the content looked on our social pages.

Pithy Studios were fantastic with their communication and work flow. We set up a routine where we would provide them with our brief the day before(via Trello) and if anything needed clarifying or if they had any expert advice/ideas they thought would be best, we would communicate via email. We had effective communications with Pithy Studios and we were never out of the loop.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with how adaptable they were to our needs, as thing changed on our side, they were very professional. We had to drop one of the days that we work with them and we found that it left no room for editing amendments. However, Pithy Studios went above and beyond to help improve the content by amending the edits that were needed in a short space of time. We were truly pleased with their flexibility to our needs. The quality of work that they produced was astounding. The advice they gave us to elevate the content proved their passion for what they do. We throughly enjoyed working with Pithy Studios and would recommend them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only advice we would suggest is to factor in if someone is using your service on a 1-day rolling contract, to provide a service within the contract to allow quick amendments from the client on the same day.

We had a short-term need for design support for a package we were creating for a client. We had to make a  presentation, but all of our designers were booked out, and we needed something turned around very quickly.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pithy Studios designed the presentation for our client. We already had all of the content put together and images provided by the client. The Pithy Studios team reformatted and redesigned elements based on the structure and content we provided. The client needed editable versions, so the team worked on Google Docs and PowerPoint.

Alex was great to work with; he communicated clearly and understood the brief really well. Pithy Studios was happy to iterate based on our client’s comments, and they responded in quite clear timescales. Overall, the client was very happy, and we were pleased with the outcome, too.

How did Pithy Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very good at sticking to schedule and budget, particularly when the schedule moved around a little bit. Because the project was very short, we didn’t use any project management tools. We communicated over WhatsApp, calls, and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pithy Studios’ turnaround time, flexibility, and quality of work were all really great. Overall, the project had a good outcome.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I didn’t think there was anything they needed to improve.

My advice is to communicate clearly with them. Pithy Studios works very effectively with timescales, especially when they’re engaged with good communication on the other side.

For the brand guidlines Pithy helped us with a branding workshop, they then sent through a number of mocks ups. We selected the designs we liked the best and he worked them into the final designs. The website worked along the same way, we chatted through what we wanted and we sent through some examples of websites we liked. Pithy then produced some mock-ups and finally a pdf of the webdesign to be handed to our web developer.

I have just launched a service where I look into the past history 1841-1940 of homes and businesses in the UK and produce ' Blue Plaque ' window vinyl's so that visitors and passers-by can see the history of the home or business. I had previously worked with Alex on several other design projects and wanted to use him again as his work ethic and design services are excellent.

Firstly I explained what the product was and who would be purchasing the product. Alex came up with several logos for the company which were all excellent. With a strong simple graphic element. We then moved on to website design. Label Design and leaflets .

From start to finish Alex's work was exemplary. The product is unusual. But Alex grasped the concept really quickly and gave me excellent design solutions and website expertise. He was always available for design tweaks and always had a solution. His design element was quick and efficient.

His knowledge of web platforms especially those with a sales element was excellent too. The web launch was held up from my end as I was testing different companies to produce the vinyl's. We now have an excellent company producing them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Before contacting Pithy, we came up with numerous ideas for the logo ourselves. We wanted to involve professionals to develop and finesse these ideas. We expected that an expert would also come up with new ideas that we hadn't been able to think of, despite trying. Sure enough, Pithy presented a version that had a fundamentally different approach.

Where it went above my already high expectations was that it achieved absolutely all the catchiness, uniqueness, and dynamism I had been striving for - and this only through a verbal brief. The resulting logo is as simple visually and as reproducible as possible, whilst standing out. If ever a company lived up to its name, it was Pithy Studios!
