I’m the general manager of a commercial masonry contractor.

What challenge were you trying to address with Peak Websites?

They designed and developed our Squarespace website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Peak Websites designed our website from the ground up, transferring over information like files and photos from our old website. They also did backend SEO work, and still deliver reporting about how those efforts are going.

I made a lot of requests in terms of customizing our SquareSpace template, and David (Founder) implemented all of them. Additionally, he made sure I was able to manipulate the website myself.

Design was also part of their mandate, as was keyword research, content creation, and — currently — monthly maintenance. There was also an instance where Peak Websites had to update the client’s address and location on search engines that were pulling outdated information.

What is the team composition?

I just worked with David.  

How did you come to work with Peak Websites?

After some online research and a few calls, I decided that David and Peak Websites would be the best fit because of their comfortability with customization.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $1,000–$2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since July 2021, and the relationship will most likely run until January 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

David sends me SEO reports showing the increase in our traffic. It’s hard to correlate that increase specifically to Peak Website’s work, as we’re advertising on a number of different platforms, but the relationship has done what I intended it to do: raise our profile and engage job seekers. Now that we have a better website, people will want to apply for positions on our site.

How did Peak Websites perform from a project management standpoint?

We text and email with David, as well as hop on Zoom calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

David is very receptive to my ideas and quick to respond.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There have been some tweaks as we move along, but they’ve been taken care of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give regular feedback, as they’re very receptive.

I’m the owner of Sheila Hamilton Movement Garden. It’s an online personal training business. I offer paid private sessions and free programs and workshops for anyone that wants to take them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Peak Websites?

I was trying to get my website to work better. Also, I wanted help with my blog so search engines would recognize it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Peak Websites has streamlined the content flow and created pages for the WordPress website with the information I want to share. Since my business has two sides, they’ve worked to differentiate them. I drive the content, but they help me organize it so people can navigate the website depending on their needs.

Also, they’ve helped me understand Google Business, taught me how to optimize searches by putting in keywords, and set up an automated email campaign that’s integrated with constant content. I initially gave them information, and they were able to compare that to others out there so the website could look and be different.

I work directly with David (Owner & Frontend Developer).

How did you come to work with Peak Websites?

One of my friends knew David personally and referred him. I’d had other website people in the past, but I never wanted to continue with them as things progressed. I met and talked with David. He had a fresh personality and new ideas, so I decided to go with him.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent $1,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

I’ve been working with him since February 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This is an entirely new business, so we’ve done a lot in a short time. I’ve had some clients joining my services recently, and users and engagement have significantly increased over the last couple of months. Also, I get feedback on how easy it’s to get into my classes, look at what’s going on, and onboard as a new client.

Last month, our engagement was over 455%, and new users were over 427%, so metrics are excellent. We’re still not talking about huge numbers, but Peak Website’s involvement has definitely helped.

How did Peak Websites perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s excellent. David is very receptive to the things that come up during conversations. He keeps notes instead of a spreadsheet and always updates me on what he’s doing and what is pending.

He’s met with me on Google Teams several times, but we also use Zoom to communicate. Overall, he’s got a system that works really well from a management perspective.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re invested. Peak Websites cares about my business’ success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything specific.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Write down what you want help with. Also, do some creative thinking together to get their expertise to work for you.

I own a retail store with a production studio in-house.

What challenge were you trying to address with Peak Websites?

I needed help with my website. I had a developer in the past but they didn't have enough time to keep up with the maintenance. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I hired them to do my maintenance and upgrades on my website. They’re working within the framework of the previous developer.

They incorporate a lot of e-commerce components and address issues with functionality. For example, they set it up so that color swatches for our products match the photos. They also automated an add-on to show when a color or fabric is out of stock. Currently, the team is including a gift card add-on. We hope to work on SEO in the future.

David came into my store one day and we just started chatting.

We started working together in August 2020, and our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

 David has definitely helped with my site’s UX. Now, my site is a lot more user-friendly.  

How did Peak Websites perform from a project management standpoint?

David is great. His deadlines are always clear and if something is taking longer than usual, he always lets me know. He’s very proactive with all of our projects.

What did you find most impressive about them?

David’s very clear and explains web jargon in laymen’s terms. I’ve worked with others in the past that don’t do that. David never says more than he needs to, which is really helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’ve been really satisfied. David’s been instrumental in keeping things moving for us.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to make a really good plan about what you need. That’s where I fall short, but David keeps things organized.
