I met Devin through our Outside Sales Rep and were able to have preliminary discussions regarding our needs. They sent out a specialist to review our current set up and figure out our growth plans. They allowed us to keep our existing structure but add better products and services to support our growth.

We have an unlimited hours service call package. We are able to get assistance at any time without needing to worry about going over our hours. They also have been able to get a plan together for our growth plans that will be executed in 2022.

We needed a managed service provider (MSP) for different projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

PCH Technologies provides managed IT services and has assisted us in different projects over time. We’ve recently worked on a Datto upgrade project. Datto is a company that offers advanced backup procedures and technologies for organizations, and the project required us to expand our data backup to cover our entire footprint. PCH Technologies has helped us go beyond our headquarters and back up our remote brand branches’ data.

We’ve leased hardware from Datto and use cloud-based software that PCH Technologies utilizes to configure and initiate data backups. Moreover, the team also provides endpoint and patch management services, providing on-site and off-site support as needed. PCH Technologies assists with Windows and third-party software updates and acts as our backup for IT management in case my co-workers are out for some reason. The team also provides help desk assistance.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with around four PCH Technologies’ teammates, including Sean (IT Consultant), their CTO, a project implementation specialist, a senior project lead, and someone in the quoting department.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I’d like to shout out Sean’s work. He is responsive and set up our project as quickly as possible since we had given him a sense of urgency — he has done an excellent job.

How did you come to work with PCH Technologies?

Initially, we went through a vetting process where we talked to four vendors, and PCH Technologies came on top for quality and pricing. They’ve been our MSP for five years, and we usually go to them for projects outside our team’s realm.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $300,000 with PCH Technologies.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with PCH Technologies since March 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve worked on different projects with PCH Technologies, and they always come through and meet expectations. In the data backup project specifically, Sean showed a lot of experience and pushed through, making him stand out.

Additionally, PCH Technologies has a diverse group of knowledge within their staff; when I reach the help desk team, there’s always someone available to support me. PCH Technologies is good at their work, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

How did PCH Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

PCH Technologies provides an accurate budget, and their timing stands out — they’ve finished the data backup project in two weeks. They’re effective and address tickets quickly, being responsive through phone calls, emails, and Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

PCH Technologies’ performance on the Datto upgrade project has impressed me. The team is diligent and puts their best foot forward, making an extra effort to meet our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only thing PCH Technologies can improve is patch management, which seems to be their weaker area. I like to know that our devices are patched, and sometimes, we struggle with that, but it’s gotten better over time. However, we aren’t dissatisfied with PCH Technologies’ work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend selecting a similar package to the one we have, which includes a set amount of time per month, depending on the organization. Ensuring to have block time for help desk support with PCH Technologies is helpful, especially for small companies that don’t have on-site IT support.

In addition, their team assisted us in migrating from our CRM system to our current ERP process.

Also, since they’ve been with us for so long and know our systems, they’re part of our strategic meetings to help us decide where to go with our business plans.

We’ve been working with Tim (Founder), their marketing and client relationship teams, and their technicians.

We started working together in January 2005, and the engagement is ongoing.
