One of the key indicators of success for us is reception of positive brand identity feedback. This can be measured through new customer sign-ups, social media mentions, and online reviews that reflect a favorable perception of the brand's identity and values. We also look at the website experiences and thoughtful, user-friendly product design. Lastly, speed of producing required assets is important for us, because we often work with short turnaround times.

Internally, we didn't have a definitive metric to help measure the ROI for their work. However, we were extremely happy with our ROI on working with PartyWave - we've received many compliments from our clients, potential clients on our rebrand, plus overall, PartyWave understood that we needed to streamline all of our media properties under one umbrella and they worked extremely well with us every step of the way.

The team at Partywave was able to break down the project into 4 steps. The first step was discovery, where they did intensive research about how to position our brand and came up with a strategy to move forward. Step 2 was ideation where we set up meetings to discuss each person's role and how we could collaborate to make sure the project was seamless from start to end with each person's support. The 3rd step was creation where they presented design visuals and started the process of telling our brand's story through their design work. The last step was execution where they presented us a final product for our social and web strategy.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

PartyWave delivered a whole new graphic identity that all of our team members resonated with, which is quite remarkable because we weren't too sure what kind of branding would impress our customers. We immediately received feedback from people that they love our logo and color scheme, and our new website which we’d never heard before right after we launched the new look.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They’ve been terrific. It’s rare for me to give such a high recommendation, but PartyWave has been incredibly thoughtful in their approach and the questions they’ve asked. Their processes are streamlined and sensible, and they meet all deadlines.

Even though they are a small team of two. They’ve clearly done their homework at every phase of the project. They were able to easy adapt with every obstacle they faced. They’re passionate and enthusiastic, and they take great pride in their work.

I’m the manager at Pilates Plus LA, a pilates and group fitness studio with five locations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Partywave?

We needed a new website because we had a high volume of new customers. Additionally, we were in need of a refresh and rebrand to clean things up.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Partywave did a rebranding for us and built our website from scratch. The site allows our clients to find our pricing, locations, schedules, coaches, and FAQ. The site’s goal was for customers to get to know the studio before deciding to purchase. Partywave also included a functionality that allows users to create an account. 

Now, Partywave will be doing another rebrand and refresh of our business, and they’ll build a WordPress site. They’ll also do SEO for us.

What is the team composition?

For the first project, we only worked with Walker (Partner & Founder). Now, we’re working with him and Marcos (Partner & Design Lead) as well.

How did you come to work with Partywave?

I had heard of Walker through a friend who knew about Partywave. When we decided to refresh, we reached out to them, saw some of their work, and were really impressed. The game-changer was how collaborative they were and their good communication. We felt like working with a larger company would be less collaborative. Partywave felt right for our business, which is relatively small. Overall, we liked their vibe and the work they’d done.

We’ve invested about $20,000.

We started working together in May 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Partywave’s work, we’ve seen a significant increase in our business growth. Our site is more user-friendly, and we’ve never seen such a high increase in our client base. Our studios have been super busy since we reopened after the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. The business hasn’t stopped, and our numbers are higher than ever.

Even though we have an app, our website is our first point of contact. We have thousands of people coming into our locations every week, so it’s very important to have a functional, good-looking, and easy-to-use site. Our customers appreciate the easy access, and we’ve had many users sign up.

Additionally, the team is easy to work with, communicates well, and keeps us posted at every step of the journey, which we appreciate. I don’t know anything about this territory, so I get to learn from Partywave about how it all works, and they’re great at relaying that information. 

How did Partywave perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re fantastic at project management. The team runs the project really well and stays on top of things. Other contractors rarely meet deadlines and budgets. Meanwhile, when Partywave sets a deadline, they meet it. I’ve sometimes had to push meetings, and they’re accommodating and always ready to go. 

Even if they had delays, we would be okay with it because, with Partywave, success comes down to their communication. We communicate via email, and they update us through Google Meet. Lately, we’ve gotten to meet in person, which is nice. Perhaps if we’d used a large agency with many clients, we might not have gotten the same one-on-one attention. Overall, our experience with the Partywave team has been positive, and they’re a pleasure to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with Partywave’s communication skills. We’re spending a significant amount of money, so we want to have trust and communication, and we get both from them. We’ve worked with big providers that lacked consistency and good communication. Working Partywave has been a better experience — they run a tight ship. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they need to improve; they’ve hit all the key points for us. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to be very clear about what you want and the direction you want to go. Also, be open to hearing from the experts. Even if you know what you want, I encourage an open mind because Partywave brings a lot of really good ideas to the table, and they know what they’re talking about. 

Listen to them and try not to come in guns blazing because there might be better options than you think. They helped us wade through the waters and find better solutions than our original ideas.

It’s easy to work with them; they deliver on time and keep us on track. They use Notion to do the content, and we mainly communicate via emails and video calls for more in-depth matters.

Partywave has been a trusted parter for multiple design projects. With that said, they helped us take on a complete website redesign in 2021. They create thed theme and design from scratch, and worked with us through the build, implementation, and ongoing management and edits.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were hoping to find a parter that was talented in both design and execution, which we found in Partywave. Our website is the first place that prospective clients go when doing their research, and it's important that it's a clear, concise, and professional place to get more information about our services. In selecting a vendor, we prioritized design talent, communication, professionalism, and flexibility post-project for additional edits and questions. Partywave ended up being a 5/5 in all categories.

The project had 3 phases:

During the design process, Partywave helped us brainstorm a handful of different designs and themes for the website. They were not afraid to make big changes and take a few design risks, which made the brainstorm much more enjoyable and productive. Their ability to take different and big ideas, and consolidate them down into options that fit our business was extremely important in building the right website.

During the execution phase, Partywave was active in their communication and updates. They did plenty of research and analysis during design, so they were able to get to work without much back and forth. They were quick to respond to questions and concerns, and they stayed flexible when we changed our mind on a few elements of the site.

Finally, hand off and post-project edits also went off without a hitch. We had a few short educational calls to walk through the website platform and to enable our team to make small edits without re-engaging. And for a few more important changes (like additions to our inbound form & team info section), they were able to jump in and help even after handoff.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Internally, we were thrilled with the outcome. Visually, the website is exactly what we wanted. We've also been able to field inbound requests with zero issues since the new website went live. Our website isn't a huge part of our daily business, but it's important to that it's easy to understand, engaging, and enables easy contact for prospective clients. Partywave made sure all of this was prioritized.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. Partywave maintains a small team so we were confident that we were speaking directly to the project manager and designer whenever we made contact. There was no wasted back and forth.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Partywave team provides world-class design while also prioritizing excellent execution and comms. It was difficult to find this combination of design talent and great operations. Partywave has both, which removes a lot of the stress as one of their clients.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were extremely happy with our website and the speed and accuracy of Partywave's work. No suggestions or improvements from our end!

 Partywave helped us design and develop an innovative website from the ground up using Webflow. We wanted an accessible and memorable website with fun Easter eggs and a clear layout of what we do, who we are, and why our customers choose us.

 We found them through a service called Breef, which matched us with several experienced agencies that had experience with the type of web development and redesign project we wanted to tackle. Partywave had an impressive body of work that showed they could deliver what we were looking for. Moreover, it was great to chat with the founder and get to know them (very personable). They could meet our timeline and budget and were genuinely passionate about some of the next-level design and experience we wanted to achieve.
